Getting to know Bertha Osorio-Campbell

Hi, I’m Bertha Osorio-Campbell. I work with women, children, and adolescents who may be struggling with anxiety, mood changes, focus concerns, or emotional overwhelm. Many are tired of fragmented care and want someone who connects the dots between hormones, metabolic health, stress, trauma, and mental well-being. They’re seeking safe, grounded, integrative support that sees the full picture. They’re ready for clarity, stability, and a thoughtful plan that leads to optimal healing. As a double board-certified nurse practitioner in Family and Psychiatric Mental Health, I provide integrative care that blends medication management with functional and trauma-informed approaches. I focus on connecting the dots between hormones, metabolic health, nervous system regulation, and emotional well-being to create grounded, sustainable healing. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Healing begins with feeling understood, supported, and empowered. If you’re ready for thoughtful, collaborative care that prioritizes safety, clarity, and sustainable change, I invite you to take the next step.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect to be heard. I do not believe in rushed, surface-level care. I take time to understand your history, your stressors, your lifestyle, your lab work, and the full context of what you are experiencing. Mental health and physical health are deeply connected, and I approach both with intention. I am dual board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, which allows me to view your concerns through a broader clinical lens. Symptoms such as anxiety, depression, brain fog, weight changes, sleep disruption, or low motivation are often influenced by hormones, inflammation, metabolic health, stress, and life circumstances. We look at the whole picture. Our work together is collaborative. I provide education, explain options clearly, and help you make informed decisions about medication, therapy referrals, lifestyle changes, and lab evaluations when appropriate. Medication is never the only conversation — it is one tool among many. I value accountability, honesty, and follow-through. I also value compassion. Growth requires both structure and support. If you are looking for thoughtful, integrative care and are willing to actively participate in your healing process, we will work very well together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our process begins with a comprehensive evaluation. During your initial appointment, we review your medical history, psychiatric history, current symptoms, stressors, sleep patterns, lifestyle factors, and any relevant lab work. This allows us to understand not only what you are experiencing, but why it may be happening. If appropriate, we may recommend updated laboratory testing to assess factors such as thyroid function, vitamin deficiencies, metabolic markers, or hormonal balance, as these often influence mood, focus, and overall mental well-being. After the evaluation, we create a personalized treatment plan. This may include medication management, psychotherapy referrals, lifestyle modifications, sleep optimization strategies, nutritional guidance, or further diagnostic workup. Treatment is collaborative — you will understand your options and be actively involved in decisions. Follow-up appointments are structured to monitor progress, adjust medications if needed, review side effects, and reassess goals. Early follow-ups are typically more frequent to ensure safety and effectiveness. Once stable, visits may be spaced out appropriately. My approach emphasizes consistency, accountability, and long-term outcomes rather than quick fixes. The goal is not just symptom suppression, but sustainable improvement and functional well-being.
