About Bhakti Kanani
Bhakti Kanani, MSPA, PA-C, is a highly experienced certified physician assistant and a valued asset to the team at Dermatology Associates of Central NJ in Old Bridge, Freehold, and Union, New Jersey. With more than seven years of diverse dermatology experience, Bhakti has developed an excellent reputation for treating patients of all ages and connecting with each of them on an individual level.
Licensed in New Jersey and New York, Bhakti is truly committed to dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the International Association of Healthcare Professionals.
After growing up in Mumbai, India, Bhakti made her way to the United States to put down roots and pursue higher education. She earned both her bachelor's degree and her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.
In her leisure time, Bhakti enjoys being with her family, traveling the world, and exploring the outdoors.

Felt rushed my 1st visit, I was given medication which is the only reason I had to follow up but I changed my mind to go back. Office staff unfriendly. I called to cancel my appointment because I don’t need to be seen anymore. She said because I didn’t give 24hour cancellation I have to paid a cancellation fee for an appointment that was on Monday how am I suppose to cancel an appointment on a Sunday ?! She told me “what do you mean it’s like every other phone you leave a message” Ok I’m suppose to think to leave a non urgent message on a voicemail. I figure I’ll called 1st thing when they open Monday and still . I will not be coming here again. I wish I made the appointment on Zocdoc then I would of be able to cancel the appointment. If you do decide to go beware of the cancellation fee even tho I gave more then enough time.

She wasn’t very thorough and did not take time to assess my rashes. Just took a quick look and I was the one who even told her that it’s psoriasis. Prescribed me an expensive medicine which was a total waste because it was ineffective. This is what happens when your provider doesn’t do a proper physical examination.

Dr. Kanani was really nice and helpful. She took time to explain everything clearly. I took the appointment in the morning and got treated on the same day afternoon. Very satisfied with the office as well.

It was my first visit. Staff was extremely nice and professional! Doctor was incredibly knowledgeable and knew exactly what I when seconds after showing her a few spots that I was concerned with. They even had pizza... cookies..: coffee and fruit in the waiting room for everyone ! Whaaaaat? I’m a fan and officially her patient from this day forward ! Thank you!!’ See ya in two weeks !
