Getting to know Brandi Daniels

I am a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing psychiatric care and therapy for children, adolescents, and adults through secure telehealth. My approach to care is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I bring a diverse clinical background that includes over 12 years of RN experience across medical, surgical, and behavioral health settings, as well as over 10 years of service in the United States Navy. My background has influenced my approach to care by emphasizing professionalism, adaptability, and thoughtful decision-making, particularly in complex or high-stress situations. At Red Sofa Mental Health, I believe meaningful care starts with listening — and with honesty. Real talk means having open, respectful conversations about what is actually going on, what is helping, what is not, and what options truly make sense. Care is not rushed, conversations are not sugar-coated, and treatment decisions are made collaboratively with a focus on clarity, education, and realistic expectations. I value creating a space where patients and families feel heard, respected, and supported. Whether we are discussing symptoms, medication options, therapy goals, or next steps, the focus remains on practical, individualized care that fits your life and your values. Areas of Expertise & Clinical Focus Anxiety disorders Mood disorders (including depression) Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Stress-related concerns/life transitions Emotional regulation difficulties Self-esteem/identity development Credentials Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified (PMHNP-BC)

What should a new client know about working with you?

My Approach I provide care that is: Collaborative – treatment decisions are made together Honest and transparent – clear conversations without judgment Developmentally appropriate – tailored for children, adolescents, and adults Evidence-based – grounded in current clinical research Therapy and medication management

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to care is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you feel heard and understood. During the first appointment, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to better understand your current concerns, history, and goals for treatment. This includes discussing symptoms, past treatments, medical history, lifestyle factors, and any stressors that may be affecting your mental health. Together we will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include psychotherapy, medication management, or a combination of both depending on your needs and preferences. I believe treatment works best when patients are active participants in their care, so sessions are conversational and focused on real-life challenges and practical solutions. Follow-up visits are used to monitor progress, adjust medications if needed, and continue therapeutic work that supports long-term improvement. My goal is to provide a supportive and judgment-free environment where we can address concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, life transitions, and other mental health challenges. I provide inclusive, patient-centered care and welcome individuals from all backgrounds. Whether you are seeking therapy, medication support, or both, we will work together to find an approach that helps you move forward with greater stability, clarity, and confidence

This was by far one of the easiest appointments I have ever gotten for my mental health. Brandi was very attentive and provided a ew outlook on how I could handle my concerns. She was easy to open up to and made me feel more comfortable than I have been in a long time. She is by far the best provider I have ever seen for my mental health.
I had a wonderful experience with Brandi. From the very first appointment, she was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made it easy for me to open up. I truly felt seen and heard during our conversation, which made a big difference in my comfort level. The booking process was simple and convenient, and everything was handled very professionally. She also made sure my prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy right away, and I was able to pick them up the same day. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and efficient provider who genuinely cares about her patients.
I was able to get an appointment really quickly and the whole process was super smooth. They actually took the time to listen to my concerns and explained my treatment options in a way that made sense. My prescription was sent to my pharmacy right away and everything was handled really efficiently. I’d definitely recommend them.
Ms. Brandi is phenomenal. I was in a pinch to get my daughter mental health care especially after multiple significant life event changes. First things first, pricing was straightforward and there were no hidden fees. Our insurance unfortunately isn’t accepted yet but the prices were affordable enough to where I wasn’t hurting and was still able to get my daughter evaluated and get her meds adjusted. The appointment process was easy and virtual which works best for our “on the go” needs. Ms. Brandi has truly helped my daughter make significant changes. Especially with dealing with her feelings with her dad and didn’t get offended when my daughter was initially rude. If your teen is going through life events and needs a person to lean on look no further!
I truly appreciate the care I received. I was able to get an appointment scheduled quickly, and my medication was easy to pick up. Red Sofa is amazing.
