Dr. Brian May, DC

Dr. Brian May, DC

Chiropractor
1608 Walnut St, Ste 601, Philadelphia, PA
Dr. Brian May grew up in Wilkes-Barre, Pa, where he developed a love for sports and competition while being intensely interested in caring for those around him. His introduction to spinal care was abrupt, fracturing a vertebra in his lumbar spine in multiple locations at 13. After watching from the sideline for six months, he returned only to exacerbate the injury his sophomore year. His family then tried chiropractic care, which allowed him to play without restrictions in two weeks. Thanks to this care, he played at an All-State level in volleyball his junior and senior years at Holy Redeemer High School. Dr. May earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Exercise Science and Nutrition Sciences from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, graduating Magna Cum Laude while holding multiple executive positions in student organizations and governments. He continued at Palmer College of Chiropractic Main Campus in Port Orange, Florida, graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving the Academic Achievement Award for making Dean’s List all 13 academic quarters, earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Dr. May strongly believes the nervous system is essential to a strong, healthy body. Since the central nervous system lives within the spine, his focus is there. Any spinal malalignment, or subluxation, robs the body of health by interfering with nervous system function, causing chronic or acute issues, both of which he treats successfully. Beyond chiropractic care, he has found success counseling and healing clients through nutritional consultations. He believes mimicking ancestral diets and avoiding modern poisons improves health.
