About Dr. Bushra Helmandi
Dr. Bushra Helmandi completed her undergraduate studies at the University at Albany, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in Connecticut. Dr. Helmandi specializes in Active Release Technique, a soft tissue mobilization system that treats a variety of symptoms including back pain, extremity pain, sciatica, chronic pain syndromes, and headaches. As a soft tissue expert, she uses this technique to resolve injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and other soft tissues. Her approach is unique and highly specific, leading to the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries through non-invasive methods. She also employs the Diversified technique for her chiropractic adjustments.
Dr. Helmandi is active in philanthropic endeavors with the Alzheimer’s Association and enjoys playing tennis, reading, traveling, and volunteering at community outreach programs.
