I appreciate Dr. Sanchez-Palacios support with my sun damaged skin and for catching issues that were overlooked before. I have only had positive experiences over the past four years.
Dr. Sanchez-Palacios was delayed to my appointment, helping out another patient. I have a sneaking suspicion there were two of us scheduled at the same time though, since no other patients were there when we checked in at the same time. I had to wait for Dr. Sanchez-Palacios for 30 minutes before she came in to see me. She spent 5 minutes in the room with me and didn't provide a lot of information into my concerns. Overall, I can't tell what I should expect and how to tell if my situation worsens.
I was pretty disappointed with my time at the office. I was not seen until an hour later and after waiting in the room for an hour, doctor Carla spent less than 5 mins with me... My answers were not answered and I was left to ask those questions about my health condition to the nurse assisting the doctor. Overall, disappointed with my experience :( Wouldn't recommend making other plans immediately after the appointment as you may have a wait time longer than expected.
Long wait time and only spoke to doctor for less than 5 minutes.
The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!
Front desk staff was excellent; very helpful with insurance questions. The medical assistant (?) also was incredibly friendly. Dr. Sanchez-Palacios seemed to know what she was talking about, but not with a very warm bedside manner. It was a little uncomfortable, but I got out of there quickly.
There's a reason I keep coming back to her!
She was incredible dismissive. We had about 3 minutes (if that) of face time for a very expensive visit. She barely looked at my moles and said they were fine without even really checking them. I had skin tags and lots of new freckles which she brushed over them just trying to get me to buy the sun screen that the office was selling. She had no suggestions for what to do about my acne. She wasn't rude necessarily, but had no interest in me or my skin. Totally rushed. Awful experience.
Great doctor, good staff, nice office space.
A wonderful doctor! So much so I moved with her to her location further away.
Terrible bedside manner. She spoke over me, didn't listen to anything I said, and was chastising me about things that I was trying to ask a question about. First example, I told her one of my majors concerns was how sensitive my skin is. When prescribing medicine (when I asked not to just be given medicine), she asked me if my skin was typically sensitive. Second example, when doing the general skin exam, I pointed out a mole that had changed in appearance since my last exam. In response, she started lecturing me about how I need to be paying more attention to my skin so that I can point out things that are changing and forced in my hand a brochure about mole appearance. She constantly talked over me, interrupted me, and was very rude. The only actual help I received was from the nurse who walked me back to the room. Have never had such a terrible experience with a doctor and I will never go back.
Dr.Sanchez-Palacious was very professional and quick in performing my 2 procedures which were painless. She made sure to keep me calm and comfortable.
Waited in a thin gown in a very chilly drafty room for 30 minutes. Consulation felt a little rushed like they were just trying to get me out of the way and they were more diligent about trying to get me to buy their products than anything else.
Being completely honest when I say this has been the worst dermatologist I have ever visited. Her bedside manner is awful, she talks over you, dismisses what you say, laughs at you and says "right right"? If you come in with a categorized skin issue such as eczema or psoriasis, she will just do the general medicine for that without talking to you, listening to your concerns, explaining anything and then saying right right? Well not right because you were not listening to me or looking at me pointing out the new rash or my issue with the medicine you prescribed, just talk over me. When I mentioned an issue I had she said it was "minor" several times without explaining why she doesn't think it's beneficial or an alternative. Just said its minor and people can't see it... well it's not a minor issue to me if it's causing me discomfort. Overall, she is not overly rude but her bedside manner is terrible. She tries to get in and out as fast as possible without listening to your concerns and making it seem like a light atmosphere but she's just laughing and talking over you. I have never had an experience like this with a doctor in my entire life. Especially worse because I drove an hour to see her. I will never return again, I only came because this was the closest Doctor my insurance accepts.
Dr Sanchez palacios helped me with my problem. She could improve her bedside manner by listening to the patient and not interrupting.
She didn't really let me speak at all about my concerns. She kept interrupting and would not listen to what I was saying and I basically left with no information on what was going on with my skin and only the suggestion to buy some cosmetic products.
It was good but had to wait a significant period of time.
Super kind, whip-smart, superb follow-up if something is seriously wrong.
Very genuinely kind staff, including Dr Sanchez-Palacios. Everyone listened to my questions & made sure I left with all ?s answered. No pressure to buy anything either = great! Decided to anyhow. Lovely staff, great doc--definitely going back!
She was very thorough. Kind curtious, and knowledgeable.
Very quick, friendly, and professional. Gave helpful tips on how to manage my situation and keep my skin healthy.
Dr. Carla was super nice and very professional. I'll be seeing her again.
When I arrived for my appointment they did not have me in the schedule because they had not kept up with the ZocDoc appointments, according to the receptionist, even though I had gotten a reminder and confirmation email from ZocDoc. I waited maybe 15 minutes in the exam room, which wasn't too bad, but when the doctor arrived she rushed in with an attending staff member, spoke so quickly it was hard to understand what she said, and when I asked a couple of questions she hurried through the replies just as quickly so I feel like I'll have to do independent research to get them answered. Overall I think she is competent and credible, but it did not feel like my questions and concerns were a priority, just getting me in and out as fast as possible.
Great doctor! She is very efficient but listens well to each patient's needs.
This was my first visit to Dr. Palacios. I felt that she was very thorough in her exam and inquiry about previous skin issues/treatments and my family health history.
