“My son started seeing Carmen last year in February 2020. I loved the way her office was set up from the very first day I was there! Everything is so organized, and she even has items for children with sensory needs, such as a swing. She has so many different toys and tools to work with the kids. I also love the fact that Carmen is so conscientious about keeping the items clean and wiped down in between kids to lessen the spread of germs. That is highly important to me! My son is also a picky eater, so Carmen has worked with him to try and get him to taste different foods. I love her way in which she gets my son to try different things. Carmen is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate at what she does! I am so glad Carmen was recommended to me and I would most certainly recommend her to someone in need of a speech/feeding therapist. ”

She is THAT gifted and skilled! She is extremely perceptive, fiercely intelligent, loving, energetic and funny; wise and intuitive. She is incredibly creative and attuned to the child's need from moment to moment. She makes every activity both appropriately challenging AND fun. She engages the whole child. About Carmen E. Fantauzzi
I'm Carmen Fantauzzi, SLP, P.C., a New York State Licensed Speech Language Pathologist based in Middle Village, NY.
I specialize in treating families with picky eaters. I have provided feeding therapy to infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-aged children with feeding problems ranging from mild to severe.
I have extensive experience working with children who have Apraxia. I am trained in PROMPT. I also work with kids who have learning disabilities, dyslexia - Orton Gillinham trained, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, ADD/ADHD, motor speech disorders (including apraxia and dysarthria), genetic syndromes, neurological disorders, Autism, PDD-NOS, sensory processing disorder, and many more.
I earned my Master's degree in Communicative Disorders from Western Kentucky University and my Bachelor's degree from the City University of New York, Queens.

Carmen has improved my sons speech immensely. He went from having 0 words at 3 years old, to way too many to count now at 4 and a half. She is personable, knowledgeable and flexible. If you need speech services, look no further!!!
