Carol Lang is a licensed, board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Practice Nurse, and member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association with more than 30 years experience in nursing. In addition to her clinical practice, she is a Professor at George Washington University, where she enjoys working with military veterans, their families and college students, particularly those experiencing transitional challenges. As a recognized expert in Global Mental Health, she has published and presented on a wide range of psychiatric topics at national, and international conferences. Dr. Lang integrates professional counseling with psychotropic medication management if needed. Through psychiatric evaluation, assessment, follow-up consultations and support, her goal with each client is to help reduce emotional and behavioral challenges to improve the quality of life for her clients and their families. Dr. Lang provides treatment for Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD and Grief. Currently, she sees clients ages 18 years to 65 years and older, couples and families, offering both in-person and remote/telehealth visits. In her spare time, Dr. Lang enjoys writing, reading, spending time with her family, and volunteering as a psychiatric / crisis first responder with local and international disaster response teams.
