This was my first appointment with dr.Reddy. She is proffesional, listens well and ask questions and I felt that I could trust her. She really let me feel at ease and did not try to push any plan/ ideas on me. I would definitely recommend her.
Dr. Reddy was thorough and attentive. She made me feel comfortable immediately and she listened to everything that I had to say and answered all questions that I had.
Asked questions for about an hour, rushed in the end. Did not really help.
This was a great experience! I somehow made a mistake and showed up a day early. They were able to get me in. Very attentive administrator. Dr Reddy was great, very upfront and forthcoming with expectations.
Professional & Comfortable!
She was very competent and capable of providing me with professional care. My appointment was on time. I like that she has evening hours.
This was my first visit to this type of professional, and I would like to thank Dr. Reddy for making this visit comfortable for me. she listened patiently, discussed treatment plans and took into consideration any concerns. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you!
I just left my meeting with Dr. Reddy. So many positives...1. She was honest with me about my dosage and about the issues it can cause long term 2. She acknowledged when I said certain things about my past experiences and she made eye contact and expressed actual human emotions to me 3. She wasn't afraid to tell me the truth about managing my ADHD in a healthy way for my heart and didn't focus only on blindly treating the ADHD 4. Her staff was very friendly. The only worry I had was a mention of birth control bc of my medication, Bc it seemed a little like I was doing something wrong... but I realize that she intended it more as a heads up rather than as a judgment. I am on my dosage Bc my dr. prescribed it, and obviously Dr. Reddy knows that. I really liked Dr. Reddy and her honest approach and I am truly greatful for the medical expertise she gave me and the advice she gave regarding a lateral issue on trauma. I will be heeding that advice and I'm looking forward to working with Dr. Reddy in the future.
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Reddy until recently. I had been seeing her for regular medication management for almost a year. However, I arrived at her office only to be told that my insurance, United Healthcare, was no longer accepted and I would be Self Pay. this was not something I had been told in any phone call, so I was understandably upset. Dr. Reddy took me aside and told me that United Healthcare wasn't paying them, so they would be charging me higher than my copay in order to get "some money". I told her I could do this, and would get reimbursed for out-of-network care. She then said that she didn't know if she was still in-network or out-of-network, so I may not get reimbursed. The bill, if United Healthcare didn't pay them would be my responsibility. It was unprofessional and upsetting. I told her I needed to find a new provider who was in-network, and she refused to give me my usual three-month medication supply, instead opting to give me two months, because she accidentally wrote "one" refill instead of two. She told me that it was because my ambien was controlled (I am on a very small dose) and my Latuda is potentially dangerous (I have been on it for over three years). I told her I may need time to find a new psychiatrist, but she refused to fix my refills, telling me I would need to come back to her. It was very upsetting, I can not imagine what someone who is not as stable as I am going through this experience! Afterwards, I called my insurance and discovered that Dr. Reddy's office had been entering the incorrect billing code to get paid! They were trying to force a huge bill on me and it wasn't my fault!
She was very pleasant & thorough. I immediately knew she was very intelligent & was listening intently. I felt comfortable with her & have already made a follow up appointment.
Dr. Reddy asked the right questions and got right to the point. She is not a therapist and makes it clear what her role is as your doctor. She asked me my opinion of a med plan, but also made her suggestion.
Fantastic experience. I am so happy I found Dr. Reddy!!!!!
Dr. Reddy has a very gentle manner and was very prompt in seeing me. She works in the evening which is very convenient for me. She asked lots of good questions and was non-judgmental. She is a psychiatrist rather than a therapist so her questions will be directed toward how your medication is working and whether it is the appropriate dosage or medication for you.
She Doesn't have any experience .
She is a very good listener and it was easy to get back in to see her.
She's not very personable. She also seems kind of distracted and like she wants to get you out there as quick as possible. Still not sure if I'll continue to see her.
My visit was positive. Dr. Reddy was extremely nice and very knowledgeable. Definitely a good start!
I am completely impressed with her bedside manner, professionalism and treatment plan. This is only my 1st visit, but am completely impressed.
Was seen right away. I felt very comfortable, and felt like I was being brought in to the "team" to handle my healthcare. A very professional demeanor, and caring as well. Great doctor!
Very compassionate and understanding
Great visit, Dr. Reddy was very kind and a really excellent listener, very easy to talk to. She made some great recommendations to me and I will definitely visit her again.
She was very friendly and professional. I'm glad I found her on ZocDoc.
Dr. Reddy listened very closely to everything that I said and had thoughtful and genuine advice. She also made sure that I knew she was available in case I ever needed to make an appointment. I could tell she truly cares about her patients. I'd recommend her.
She took the time to ask the appropriate questions. Didn't just hear what I came in for and prescribed something right away. She was kind and overall had a good experience with the doctor.
I love Dr. Reddy. She's great. Good bedside manner, caring, everything you could want.
Dr. Reddy is wonderful. A joy to speak with and always very helpful. I would recommend her to anyone in need of help! She's always on time. Everytime I leave a message I get a quick response from the receptionist, which is also very much a joy to speak with ! I am very pleased with this business.
In this case, please read and do not take negative reviews lightly. I have been seeing Dr. reddy for about ten months. She has been a pleasant doctor until I had an appalling, and deeply upsetting experience. Dr. reddy gave me a prescription for one of my meds with no dosage written on the slip, I did not realize this until the pharmacy gave me a bottle of this medication but in the wrong dosage and in a different for (extended vs immediate release). No problem, I thought, I just let them know and they will fix it as it is very unorthodox for a psychiatrist to change a dosage without discussing it with a patient first. Apparently she told the pharmacist she had intended to change the dosage, which surprised me and I asked if they could double check.after they did they told me I would have to speak with her, so I called and tried to get in touch with her and left a message with her answering service. I did not hear back from her within 24 hours, and, as I take brain medications seriously and was concerned this mix up would have a negative effect, I called and left another because I had already been taking the wrong dosage for a few days by then and wanted to address it promptly. I then received a phone call from doctor reddy in which she told me she could not talk as soon as I began to explain why I was getting in touch with her (interrupting me) and proceeded to spend three minutes chastising me for calling her, saying "you are in a crisis every week" (I have never called her with a crisis, or at all prior to this incident) "you need wraparound care" and telling me all these phone calls were wasting her time while she is at a conference in California, that if I cannot be flexible with her I should go to another doctor and pay out of pocket insinuating that she is the only provider who would take my insurance. She also said when they called her she did not have my chart in front of her (which explains the error). I don't think any physician should be informing pharmacists off the top of their head. Not only was I ignored, but she did not acknowledge her error and spoke to me in a very condescending tone with insinuations that I need a higher level of care just because I dared to want the correct dosage of my medication. This was all due to her mistake and she blamed me for it. This was very upsetting to me and reflects abysmal bedside manner. Frankly I was surprised to be treated this way. I recommend that anyone who tries to build a relationship with this doctor proceed with caution. I will be finding another psychiatrist.
She was kind and considerate. Listened to my needs and addressed my concerns.
Just wanted to get me in and out of there. Did not feel that she wanted to take the time to truly get to know me - just asked a slew of 50 questions, jotted notes, and pushed me out without any action plan. I do not recommend and will not be returning.
Asked me a bunch of questions, told me she couldn't diagnose my problem, that I need to go see a psychologist and take an ADHD test which may or may not be covered by insurance before she could discuss things any further. Which begs the question why even bother with going to see her in the first place. I understand that there are certain guidelines one must follow, but this is just dumb. Im a 30 year old male with a stable life and a small problem, not a tweaked out depressed teenager bordering on suicide that needs a team of professionals for help. I expect someone of respectable profession to work with me, offer me various treatment options, explaining which one does what, and then test one out and see it works. What I don't expect is her to tell me to go see someone else and then come back to her.
The business is a little mom and pop affair off of Sterling Blvd. Very accommodating to their patients. I am very often late or even forget my visit due to my scatterbrained-ness and they always call to let me know instead of slamming me with fees, and will even wait around past closing to make sure I get a visit. As for Dr. Reddy herself, she is always a kind and warm person. Very attentive and wanting to help. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a more personal, down to earth touch instead of some awful HMO or the like.
Dr. Reddy is an honest, straightforward professional psychiatrist that will send you down the right path. She listened to me talk for a long time then gave me professional advice on next steps. A rare gem in the psychiatric world.
The doctor was pleasant enough, but we differed significantly on how to proceed, which would not have been a problem if she hadn't ignored my input. She came across as rigid and rather patronizing,
Dr. Reddy is a very sweet person, straight and to the point about things. She is understanding and thoughtful, and listens actively.
Really loved my experience with Dr. Reddy. She listened and accurately identified what I was going through and made her recommendations. Her staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. And I feel much better just after my first visit.
Would not trust her with my care
Ignored my input, cancelled my appointments and did not try to accommodate me or the fact that I have a mental illness that needs to be addressed. No sense of care or urgency.
She gave me a diagnosis on the first visit, which was great. She answered my questions clearly and was very nice. It was only my first visit, but so far so good.
Dr. Reddy was extremely professional, attentive, courteous, and made me feel at home in her office. I cannot recommend her more.
Very Helpful. She's very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed. Quick and easy! Highly recommend.
Very helpful. Glad I found her. Wait was short.
I really like Dr. Reddy and her new office space is really great: clean, well-lit, etc. Dr. Reddy is very friendly and takes a legitimate interest in me as a person. She is outstanding.
Dr. Reddy is very warm and caring. She asks all the right questions and doesn't just get you a prescription and push you out the door. The office is clean, organized and very inviting. The office staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have already recommended her to several people.
I have been seeing Dr. Reddy for more than 6 months. I suffer from depression and I was not responding to medication at the time. After seeing Dr. Reddy she changed the dosage and added a medication. This combination has helped me improve greatly. Also she is a caring doctor who takes her time to get to the root of the problem. In terms of location, it is located in an office building with plenty of parking space. Sterling is far for many of us who live closer to DC, but it's a small sacrifice to make compared to what we would have to spend seeing another doctor who would most likely not accept health insurance. Dr. Reddy also offers evening and Saturday appointments, which is very convenient for busy professionals. I highly recommend her!
She is very nice and a good listener.
Great staff. Great Dr.! Listens and laughs with me. And understanding. That's a must!
Dr. Reddy seemed to conduct a well rounded doctor visit initially. Then after mostly listening to my extensive medical and past history, she became somewhat closed off and concluded that she could not help me because of my more complex case. Some of it may have to do with my BCBS insurance although it is a well paying PPO policy. Her only suggestion was referring me to expensive cash only docs, I hope she can take some continuing education to be able to care for complex yet stable cases.
Didn't seem like the issues I visited were taken seriously. Granted, my reason for visiting was for a check-up, so my issue probably isn't as serious as some of the cases presented before. Sort of felt like I was brushed off, however, she was a very kind doctor.
Dr Reddy sent the bill for my first 4 appointments to my insurance over a year late and I now have bills for hundreds of dollars for each appointment. I refused to see her again and she calls my emergency contact stating she may call 911 as I could be in danger. I called her back and told her I was finding a new doctor and she said I am not allowed to see another doctor without seeing her first. I guess she's trying to collect on the full amount of the bills, even though it's her fault for waiting over a year to send them to my insurance. I will call the police if she harasses me or my family again.
Wait time was very short. She made me feel very comfortable. Dr Reddy was very empathetic and understanding as well.
The Dr was most helpful. while she couldn't see my son as she only sees adults. She worked hard to help us find the care needed
Horrible bedside manner. The office is bare and unwelcoming. The way the whole practice is run is unprofessional. She spends 5 minutes with you, prescribes something random, and sends you on your way. Never will visit again.
Very kind and considerate. Dr. Swarna not only helped me get my standard medicine but also gave me a very insightful and proactive diagnosis about my mental health based on what we discussed.
Great doctor! I love her flexible evening and weekend hours. She is personable and a great listener. Highly recommend her.
I left the appointment knowing that my questions had been answered and was very satisfied. I will continue to book appointments here.
She answered the phone 3 times. Very unprofessional. Her attention span was almost 0.
I had a great experience with Dr. Reddy!
I love Dr. Reddy. She's great!
it was a pleasant experience - she spent time to listen and her suggestions were very good - not greedy at all over all I had a good experience
Dr. Reddy was very matter-of-fact and up front about her policies and methods, and I respect that. It is very important for a first consultation with a psychiatrist.
Dr. Reddy is a wonderful psychiatrist, she listens to her patients and makes proper recommendation and gives great advise. I will be seeing her one a month for as long as I need help with my anxiety and sleeping issues.
Dr. Reddy is extremely professional and I'm glad I was able to meet with her. Definitely would recommend her to others.
Very friendly, very quick wait time, compassionate, and understanding. Highly recommended.
I thought it was helpful.
Dr. Reddy was very professional and pleasant. I did not feel like she was watching the clock, and she answered all of my questions. At the same time, I feel the visit was very efficient.
Dr Ready was very responsive to me, taking me on almost immediately as a new patient who moved to the area. Unlike many others, she accepts a wide variety of insurances and also has a great bedside manner!
This was my first visit and I will definitely make her my new psychiatrist. She was attentive, compassionate and answered all of my questions. The wait was a little long but I understand that since it was a Saturday appointment and I'm sure everyone try to get those limited time slots. Very professional, comfortable office, convenient location.
She seemed very rushed and quick to prescribe. I would have liked a little more talk therapy than I received.
Dr. Reddy saw me right away despite arriving late due to traffic. Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends. She was judgmental and condescending throughout her "diagnosis" which consisted of her asking form questions and googling side effects of my medication to scare me. She also kept frequently referring to "if you become pregnant" despite me telling her I was on birth control and that was not possible. Obviously people can mess up birth control, but the fact that she never even asked about my sexual history (despite asking every other irrelevant detail from 1990-today) is absurd. As a virgin who recently started taking birth control for unrelated reasons, I am very much offended by the assumptions that were made and probably would be offended regardless of my sexual history. I just don't understand why people like this go into a profession like that.
Dr. Reddy was very helpful and was able to see me immediately. It's an hour drive for me that I will happily make for any future appointments.
Dr Reddy was really attentive to my pain and did not make me feel bad or rushed trough the visiting time with her.
I decided to see Dr. Reddy to follow up on treatment for depression. I was diagnosed with the condition by my primary care physician, but I hadn't been able to see a psychiatrist because I couldn't find a therapist who would accept health insurance in the DC area. I am glad I found Dr. Reddy; she was very thorough and made some changes to my current medication. I would also like to note that I had no problems understanding Dr. Reddy or any of her staff, and her office is located in a nice looking office building where there are other doctor's offices. There is plenty of parking as well.
Dr. Reddy was very professional. She listened to my concerns, asked a series of questions, and set a path forward. That said, everything up to the actual consultation was very frustrating. First, they changed locations without telling me. The receptionist happened to be driving by and saw me in the wrong spot. Had she not been there by chance, I would have missed my appointment, and been charged a $50 fee. Second, despite having filled in all of my information on Zocdoc, they still insisted on having me fill out paperwork again. I will definitely be going back, because she is practically the only psychiatrist that accepts my insurance in the area, but were that not the case, I'm not sure I wouldn't look elsewhere.
Dr. Reddy truly saved my life. Not only was she understanding and comforting, but she was very sincere and to the point with her diagnoses and recommendations. When I first came to her I had such bad anxiety that I dropped out of school, didnt drive a car, and barely left the house. Now I feel that my brain chemistry is back on track. The main reason that I recommend Dr. Reddy so highly is because of her bedside manner. She is extremely easy to talk to and always explains things to me in a way that is easy to understand and instills confidence. Another reason that I so highly recommend this practice is because of the appointment times. If I ever cannot make it, they are happy to help arrange a time that works. I also really appreciate the fact that If I am there early and they are free, they always see me. You can just tell that they truly care about the relationships with their patients, and that is truly appreciated.
She is good, but far from where I live. She also does not give me prescriptions for more than about a month so I have to keep coming back, which I don't like, but she is good at her job. Medicine has worked well for me and appointments are always less than 15 minutes long.
Dr. Reddy is a great doctor, keeps your best interests in mind.
I enjoyed my visit to Dr. Reddy's office. She listened to my issues and offered suitable assistance.
Woman didn't hear anything I said. She took me off the two non-narcotics including my smoking cessation drug which was working. Elevated my dosage of a drug that made me crazy and decreased my dosage of a drug that made me not crazy.
Dr. Reddy spent a lot of time with me. She took a detailed history and discussed what treatment would be best for me. She has a very pleasant bedside manner and I felt very comfortable with her. I'm scheduling an appointment for one of my teenagers with Dr. Reddy too. Her staff was also very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this doctor!
Dr Reddy is an excellent Psychiatrist to work with when it comes to medication management. She listens to what I have to say about the way I am feeling and takes a genuine interest in prescribing the medication that will most improve my quality of life. I starting seeing Dr Reddy for treatment of dysthymia (depression) and anxiety, though it is worth mentioning she has also taken an interest in treating my migraine headaches, taking new approaches no doctors have offered me before. I am very happy with Dr Reddy, she is reliable and knowledgable in her field.
Very good appointment, listened and understood me well.
It was horrible. She was judgmental and unwilling to help me due to her prejudice against a personal decision of mine that wasn't related to the reason why I sought her help. If you want respect from a doctor and kindness, find someone else, not her.
I left feeling positive about her treatment plan for me. Dr. Reddy was very attentive and got my full medical history before deciding what the best route would be for me. Dr. Reddy explained why she chose certain medications for me and what side effects I could possibly get. She made sure all of my questions were answered and was very kind and understanding as to what I am currently going through. I am glad I decided to give her a try. I am feeling good for the first time in several months.
Poor advice and zero follow up when i reached out via phone call (TWICE)
Nice. Convenient hours.
Very sweet and professional woman and there's no long waiting periods. I love the fact that she gets in her office at 5pm which works out great for my normal workday hours. She's even open on Saturdays!
Dr Reddy was very professional and thorough. She asked about my previous history to understand how I was feeling. I left there understanding our plan and feel good about the direction we are taking for my treatment. I cant wait to feel better and get back to being myself. I understand they will be moving to a permanent office in the coming months as the current space is just temporary. I personally was not bothered by the current office as my goal is to feel better. I will be seeing her again in a couple weeks. Thanks Dr Reddy!
Dr. Reddy addressed all of my questions and concerns! She was very helpful and informative. I highly recommend her.
I found the office location difficult to find and the office extremely unprofessional. When explaining paperwork, the front desk associate spent several minutes reminding me to not lose any of my forms or paperwork, which I found to be rather assumptive and rude. Although the wait time was short, during my appointment, Dr. Swarma did not engage in active discussion as I detailed my concerns, and dedicated less than five minutes to listening to my concerns. I found her demeanor condescending, abrasive, offensive and assumptive. She used her cell phone during my visit, and even took off her shoes, which I find very unprofessional and frankly appalling. When I asked questions regarding her choice in my treatment, she handed me her phone so I could look at search engine results for the treatment. Rather than answering my questions, she just offered search engine results. Aside from the unprofessional office, I found Dr. Reddy's service awful and condescending. I found the visit to be a waste of my time, and I left feeling horribly upset.
FANTASTIC DR!! She LISTENS to her patients! (Why cant EVERY Doc do that?) Knowledgeable, great bedside manner, empathetic- will check back after my next appt to keep you updated!
Would not recommend unless the only option. The entire experience was uncomfortable and felt very unprofessional. Dr. Reddy rents space from a generic computer company in a business park. The waiting room is just the front lobby for this company, and her husband sits next to you with his laptop and handles the paperwork. Both have heavy accents which are difficult to understand, and her husband is very rude and gruff over the phone (he's the one you talk to when booking appointments). As for her actual diagnoses, her bedside manner is non-existent and the process is as rote as it can be. Dr. Reddy does not actually talk to you or express any interest whatsoever, rather just reads down a list of questions and then tells you what drug she's going to give you. She doesn't discuss options, or explain why unless asked, and the answers she gives are not terribly edifying.
Not very thorough with getting patient history. Didn't ask many questions.
She addressed my medical needs thoroughly and I feel comfortable with her approach to treatment.
Dr. Reddy is very accommodating to your needs whether it be scheduling conflicts or medication preferences. She listens to my issues and comes up with solutions with me involved. I would definitely recommend her to another patient!
Very pleasant! No wait! A+!
I was very disappointed with my visit to Dr. Reddy. She never seemed interested in helping me from the beginning. Started with being disappointed that I was with Blue Cross, never showed any interest in what i was going thru, and tried to prescribe drugs to me before she even knew me. She didn't listen, answered her phone, the door, and called someone in the matter of 10 minutes. When I tried to explain that I was uncomfortable with how quickly she proposed a drug solution, she said that was her job and that she wasn't a therapist. She should try to be more compassionate, especially considering the field she is in. I never trusted her judgment for the beginning, and was uncomfortable the entire time.
Dr. Reddy was friendly, knowledgable, answered all questions and truly patient-focused. I would recommend her to a friend.
She was professional, takes her time to listen, and most importantly cares about her patients to make sure they feel better. She helped me a great deal. I highly recommend her for her kindness and professionalism.
She is awesome, very calm and non-hudgmental . She listen very carefully and does not interrupt. Highly recommended.
Horrible doctor. Told me that my past diagnoses were all wrong and that I have been on the wrong medication for years. When I was leaving the office, she prescribed the same medication I have been taking. Later I called up and cancelled the following appointment scheduled with her husband. On the day of the cancelled appointment she calls me telling me to rush to her office. I was later sent a bill for the cancelled appointment.
I will definitely recommend her. Excellent!.
Dr. Reddy is wonderful. She's attentive and easy to work with. She really cares and is so accommodating with her appointment times. I am truly lucky to have found her!
Dr. Reddy is very professional, smart, and good at answering questions. I enjoyed my visit and will go again.
I am very impressed with Dr. Reddy's professionalism and would highly recommend her to others! She is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and understanding.
Dr. Reddy was very thorough
Dr. Reddy is great. I was late but she waited and saw me later that evening. She was very patient and didn't get upset at the fact that I was late to my first appointment. She is very kind and has a good bedside manner. I'm happy she is treating me.
