First off I would like to say that I called for an appointment originally and Dr. Hyde was fairly booked up. After taking with the wonderful office staff about my pain Dr. Hyde made room for me in her schedule. They stayed late (until almost 7pm!) to make sure I was taken care of. For me, in a doctors office this above and beyond and I absolutely 100% appreciated it.
Now to the nitty gritty. Dr. Hyde was very thorough and wanted to address every problem I had, and taking into account that I was an athlete she realized how important it was for me to get back out into the mix of things. She explained everything in detail to me, and when she wasn't sure about something (I have a VERY rare condition) she didn't try to prevaricate but honestly told me her opinion and gave suggestions for people who could help me better (only 3 surgeons can operate on my condition in the US). I absolutely 100% recommend her without a shadow of a doubt. I have an athletic pubalgia which is fairly awful. I also managed to get patella tendonitis and she got me into an athletic PT specialist ASAP and i'm well on the way to fixing that. If you are on the fence about seeing a physician I completely endorse Dr. Hyde. She has my undying gratitude.

Dr. Carolyn Hyde has been providing exemplary orthopedic surgery and sports medicine to members of the Austin community for nearly two decades. With an emphasis on providing each patient with individualized, custom care, Dr. Hyde is interested in giving her patients a comprehensive understanding of their injuries so that they may actively participate in deciding which treatment plan is best for them.
Dr. Hyde offers a broad range of orthopedic procedures with a special interest in arthroscopy, shoulder and knee reconstruction, joint replacement, and injuries resulting from sports.
After receiving her medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Hyde went on to undergo competitive residency and fellowship programs. Her exemplary education shines through in each procedure she performs.
Having been a varsity swimmer in college, Dr. Hyde knows how important it is for athletes to receive the best care available. She is personally invested in helping her patients recover quickly and get back to doing what they love most.

Dr Hyde performed a partial knee replacement for me. She performed a full knee replacement for a co-worker after I recommended her to him. She is now looking into a shoulder problem for me. If I had to do everything over again, I would do it exactly the same with with Dr. Hyde.

It is expected that Dr. Hyde runs late, so I try to make an early appointment. I was VERY disappointed that I needed to re-fill out forms because the receptionist didn't have access to the files on the PC of the office manager. What's the point of filling them out online?
