Getting to know Cassandra Hazelrig
Hello, I am Cassandra Hazelrig, a PMHNP-BC with a Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and an Associate’s degree from the University of Cincinnati. My work experience includes hospital and community mental health settings, serving patients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, and other conditions. On a personal note, I have three adult children and two bonus children, ages 17 and 7. We enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, and anything musical.
Seeking care is a personal choice and a big one. Our focus is on you and where you are in your journey. At Encounter Wellness Mental Health Services, you will experience a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment, whether in person or virtually.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
As a new patient, after your appointment is confirmed, you will receive an email link with a password to access your patient portal. In the patient portal, there will be several intake forms for you to complete before your initial visit.
The initial psychiatric evaluation is an hour long, and we address your current concerns and review your history. This includes mental health, physical health, social history, family history, medications, allergies, current issues, etc. Following the evaluation, we will discuss treatment options and how you would like to proceed. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled according to your response to your medications and how quickly you stabilize. During the follow-up appointments, we will discuss any new issues you may have and review the treatment plan for efficacy and tolerability. The follow-up appointments are usually 30 minutes.

Ongoing session: $150 for 30 minutes

appointment.
-In-network plans: your co-payment is due in full on the day of your
appointment and will be charged to your card on file.
-Out-of-Network: Is considered self-pay and your card will be charged
the fee for the visit. You will receive an invoice which you can submit to
your insurance reimbursement.
