Dr. Paka attended the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland School of Medicine, where she received her medical degree, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital. She further continued her studies and completed a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She also holds a bachelor's degree from New York University.

I have seen Dr. Paka at least five times and I've never felt that she is a good or empathetic listener. She likes to explain and over-explain the science, assuming you know nothing about the science or your own body. I find that she makes assumptions when she could ask questions instead. I left her office recently feeling very demoralized: about how she failed to listen and therefore left me with few treatment options. As a result, I won't go back to her again.

I was nervous and tense. The doctor made no effort to examine me. Instead asked me to book another appointment for a month time. No discussion about my options of treatment. Just said the nurse would give me some info to read and prescribed me some medication. I feel that any online research would have yield the same information.

The reception staff members were extremely nice and were in a jovial Friday mood. They clarified the expectations for COVID safety and the office had clear markers for standing, rules for pregnant mothers and their partners and a "new" and "used" pen bin. I'm a new patient and Dr. Paka took her time to walk through things my previous doctor hadn't, listen to my concerns and provide insight for women that felt empowering. Her office was clean and bright, one of the reasons I left the ob/gyn I had been seeing - the office just didn't feel super clean. Dr. Paka is terribly nice and leaves you feeling a sense of value.

Went in for recurrent UTIs and a birth control recommendation. Dr. Paka was knowledgeable, informative and clear, and provided a treatment plan that was suited to my lifestyle rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Even though I was only scheduled for a urology consult, she provided me with a birth control recommendation and advised me on how to proceed. Office staff was kind and helpful, whereas the physician's assistant was a little cold and definitely saw this as just a job (still professional!). Dr. Paka is a good fit if you are a patient with a good sense of your needs and who appreciates a straightforward approach.

I have had awful experiences with women's health and reproductive care practitioners in the past so I was very nervous going into this appointment. I cannot tell you how relieved, happy, and comfortable I felt after meeting with Dr. Paka. She really seems like she wants to help me with the issues we discussed, and actually listened to what I was telling her about my body and symptoms. She is direct and honest, but in a way that helped me understand my options and know that she is there to provide the best care available to me.

I did not have to wait long to see the doctor, and was in and out for a checkup within 20 minutes. Dr. Paka listened to my concerns and was very clear about what she was checking and why. Overall great experience as a first time patient, and I will continue to see Dr. Paka for the foreseeable future.

Regarding the service: Dr. Paka is knowledgeable and had an excellent bedside manner. She explained options thoroughly, conducted examinations carefully, and provided me with suggestions for next steps. The office staff was very friendly and welcoming overall.

Not only did I wait an hour and was the last one left I the waiting room, while people that showed up after me somehow were seen before me, the experience was awful. The office in general was run-down. The actual exam was painful and I got no warrant from the doctor of what her next move was. She also didn't seem to care too much about my questions, and just wanted to get on with it.
