“I have had asthma for 40+years. Not being able to breathe is very debilitating. I have been to many doctors regarding my respiratory issues. I have most often found myself disappointed with the care I have received, and I have felt like the treatment I was receiving wasn't helping. I can honestly say that Dr. Charles Fishman is the best pulmonologist that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and treated by. Dr. Fishman is a good listener, explains things in a way that you can clearly understand and really cares about finding the right treatment. His staff is very friendly and welcoming. The office is very neat and clean. I would highly recommend Dr. Fishman.”

About Dr. Charles Fishman
Charles L. Fishman, MD, FACP, FCCP, is a pulmonologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester and an assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. He has more than 25 years of experience in pulmonary and critical care medicine, with a focus on lung cancer and airways disease.
Dr. Fishman is board certified in pulmonary disease medicine and internal medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Chest Physicians, as well as a member of the American Thoracic Society and the Bronx County Medical Society. He has contributed to research in pulmonology for publications including Proceedings of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Annals of Oncology.
Dr. Fishman earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, where he was named chief resident in his final year. He then completed a fellowship in pulmonology and critical care medicine at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital Center. Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian, Dr. Fishman was an attending pulmonologist at Montefiore Medical Center and served as co-director of the pulmonary consult service at the Wakefield campus.
