About Dr. Charles Milchteim
A fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist, Charles Milchteim, M.D., specializes in open and minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, and knee, as well as the treatment of orthopedic trauma. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Buffalo, completed his internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at The George Washington University Hospital, and pursued a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Andrews Research and Education Foundation. An accomplished researcher, he frequently publishes and presents his findings at national symposia.
Dr. Milchteim joined the sports medicine team at Orlin & Cohen in 2014 after completing his fellowship at the prestigious Andrews Research and Education Institute, where he extensively researched and evaluated advances in minimally invasive techniques. An avid swimmer and runner, Dr. Milchteim is committed to providing patients with the same superior orthopedic care professional athletes receive. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

There was a lot of confusion in the office. Dr spent about five minutes in The exam room with me. Doctor performed very little hands on to check my range of motion. Definitely felt rushed in and out. Never received Notes or paperwork on his findings or results of my x-ray. I was also told I get a referral to another doctor and I didn’t receive any of that information. I don’t even have the doctors name. Calling the office did not work. They connected me with medical records. And said I need to go back to the office to fill out a form to request the records for my visit that I went to. Absolutely ridiculous. I left the Office with nothing except extra radiation in my body for the x-rays they insisted on taking even though I had done them five months prior. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I was an hour late for my appointment. When I called to let them know, they were nice and accommodating. When I got there, the staff and doctor were very nice and listened to me and communicated with each other, so they knew what was going on with me when each of them came into the room. They also offer many services at that location. I'm very happy I went to them.

I had a 9:45 appointment and I was seen at that time. The staff was very friendly. Dr. Milchteim was very attentive while I explained why I was there, he ordered some X-rays right away. After reading the X-rays we discussed what my options were, discussed which medications to take and follow up therapy. I was very happy with the visit and would highly recommend Dr. Milchteim!

Dr. M had terrible bedside manner. Out of 3 in office visits, Dr. M never once gave me a physical examination. He based what little medical advice he gave me on a physical examination his PA provided. His final recommendation after diagnostic texting was "You're going to have to be a detective. You'll need to figure out what will make it feel better. If you want an injection we'll make another another appointment (aka another copay). I'll never recommend Dr. M or Orlin and Cohen to anyone again.

When i first walked in I looked for a sign in sheet and didn't see one. I then walked around the counter looking for someone to notice that I was looking around to sign in. No one paid attention to me so I had to ask a person behind the desk if I needed so sign in. A person then said I had to sign in using the sheet and I told her that their wasn't one. I took her as a bit rude. Someone else behind the counter had the sign in sheet and placed it back on the counter top. I felt a bit uncomfortable and thought they were 'cold'.
