About Dr. Charlotte Birnbaum
Charlotte Birnbaum, MD, is a board certified dermatologist practicing medical and cosmetic dermatology. She attended Cornell University followed by medical school at SUNY Downstate, where she graduated in the top 3% of her class and was elected to become a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Birnbaum completed her internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital and her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate, serving as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Birnbaum practices medical dermatology with a special interest in acne, rosacea, skin cancer, eczema, and psoriasis as well as cosmetic dermatology, using neurotoxins, fillers, chemical peels, and lasers.
She is dedicated to improving and maintaining the health and beauty of her patients’ skin through a personalized and natural approach. Dr. Birnbaum was named a New York Super Doctors Rising Star and has been published in numerous media outlets including Allure, Glamour, New York Magazine, CNN, and Shape magazine. In addition, she is involved in educating the dermatology residents at Mount Sinai. In her free time, Dr. Birnbaum enjoys travel, tennis, and spending time with her husband and two children.
