“I’ve been seeing Dr. Chau for over a year now. Booking through ZocDoc is super easy. Checking in online before the appointment is easy if you’re in the Memorial Hermann system and you can check in up to a week early, which makes the sign in process super seamless. She explains the four aspects of a physical that she will go over with you and then updates you along the way on where she is in the process. If she has any recommendations such as supplements or aides or even YouTube channels for fun workouts, she will print them off for you so you can easily remember what she suggested. She’s also thorough to get the names of any specialists you might be seeing so that your care team can be well connected. She’s very personable and friendly as well.”

About Dr. Cherry Chau
Dr. Cherry Chau is a native Houstonian who earned her undergraduate degree in human biology at The University of Texas at Austin and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine at Memorial Hermann Health's Family Medicine Residency Program in Sugar Land.
As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Chau provides comprehensive services to both children and adults. She treats chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, asthma, and depression, as well as acute concerns like rashes, colds, and minor injuries. She also sees patients for annual physicals, sports physicals, well-child exams, and well-woman exams. Her clinical interests include diabetes care, smoking cessation, and weight management.
Compassionate and collaborative, Dr. Chau takes the time to listen to her patients' concerns and understand their medical needs. Dr. Cherry Chau was amazing! Her aura from the time she entered the room was great. She listened to me, I didn’t feel rushed or like I was complaining about issues I was having. She was knowledgeable and understanding. The staff and nurses were great as well and very helpful. I will continue to see her as my PCP. I felt comfortable. She always gave me options regarding my iron health which I really appreciated.

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Chau. My appointment felt rushed, and I wasn’t able to complete my bloodwork because the department had already closed. Dr. Chau didn’t seem to listen to my concerns or care about my health, as my appointment was scheduled after 4pm. I had to go to Quest Diagnostics for my bloodwork, and afterwards, I couldn’t reach anyone to discuss the results. I would not recommend this doctor.

Dr Chau was super friendly. She greeted me with her elbow rather than shaking hands and I appreciate her attention to health precautions. She went over how an annual visit usually happens and explained what’s covered by insurance vs what qualifies as an office visit. She encouraged me to ask questions and covered them first before standard procedure. She was able to see my previous medical history online through Memorial Hermann portals which made everything easy and seamless. She was very validating, empathetic, empowering and pleasant when offering advice and made sure I knew the lines of communication were open if I wanted to continue the conversation or schedule a follow up. I look forward to seeing her again and am happy to have a new PCP.
