About Dr. Cheryl E. Daves
Dual board-certified pain management and physical medicine specialist Cheryl Daves, M.D., integrates the latest medical advances and techniques to help minimize pain, improve function, and increase a patient's quality of life.
Dr. Daves earned her Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College. She completed her internship at New York Hospital Queens, followed by a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Stony Brook University Medical Center. She then completed her fellowship training in pain management-anesthesia at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Daves joined Orlin & Cohen in 2014. She approaches pain from multiple directions and specializes in the latest techniques, including epidural steroid injections, facet injections, radiofrequency ablation (genicular nerves, sacroiliac joint, cervical and lumbar), spinal cord stimulator trials, sympathetic blocks, peripheral joint injections, peripheral nerve blocks, and ultrasound-guided injections.

Everybody was friendly and efficient. I first saw a medical assistant and explained what was happening. I then saw Dr. Daves PA, who did some physical tests and ordered x-rays, which were done then and there by a pleasant young woman. After the
x-rays I met with Dr. Daves, we reviewed the x-rays and agreed on a treatment plan. Dr. Daves is very pleasant and easy to talk to.

DR. Daves seemed annoyed during my appointment, I assumed it was bc I called for my MRI results. during the review of my MRI she said I had the neck of a 70-year-old and nothing I do moving forward would help and to call her when I'm in pain. I waited to write this review after I had seen a Spine Doctor after he reviewed my MRI, he said I don't have the neck of a 70-year-old and gave me a point of action. He gave me a trigger point shot which took the stress off my neck which Daves said wouldn't help. Do yourself a favor and see a spine doctor first before going to pain management and not Orlin and Cohen, They treat you like a number, not like a person
