She lives with her husband, Berto Boyd, who is an accomplished concert guitarist and her daughter, Vida, who is a student in the neighborhood school, Abernethy Elementary.
She was born and raised in Cebu, Philippines and immigrated to the United States in her mid twenties for residency training in Penn State University. After residency, she settled in Ventura, California where she met and married her husband. In 2012, the family moved to Oregon and has now made Portland their home since 2017.
She enjoys travel, photography and reading. She is also active in the community, volunteering at her daughter’s school and advocating for human rights in various local organizations.
