About Dr. Christopher Hauglid
Dr. Hauglid is an emergency medicine-trained physician who completed his residency at the University at Buffalo from 2018 to 2021. He then completed his fellowship training in sports medicine and interventional spine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY from 2021 to 2022.
Dr. Hauglid has served as a team physician for multiple organizations including USA Boxing, USA Fencing, New York Road Runners (including the New York City Marathon), Ethical Culture Fieldston School, and Medgar Evers College. He has also served as a ringside physician for combat sport and professional wrestling events, including Warriors Cup Muay Thai Championship, Game Changer Wrestling, and House of Glory.
Dr. Hauglid's philosophy for patient care involves a comprehensive approach that maximizes minimally invasive treatment modalities to help decrease pain, restore function, and improve overall quality of life.This is accomplished through collaboration with physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare providers as well as through the use of non-operative interventions including ultrasound guided and fluoroscopic (i.e. X-ray guided) injections.
Outside of work, Dr. Hauglid's personal interests include ice hockey, combat sports (e.g. mixed martial arts, boxing, jiu-jitsu, etc.), golf, football, playing guitar, live music, hiking, kayaking, and many other outdoor activities.

The staff and provider were kind during my appointment, but unfortunately there was no follow-up as promised. I was told someone would contact me about my MRI within two days, but two weeks passed with no call. My injury worsened and I had to go to urgent care and then the ER. When I called to explain the situation, instead of acknowledging the issue I was simply asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment. I was hoping for follow-up care, not just bill my insurance with no concern or communication.

The office staff was very friendly and professional, but I don’t think they have their Zocdoc integration worked out. Despite booking in advance and my appointment being confirmed, they called me the day before and left a message to tell me that the appointment time I booked was not available and that they automatically rescheduled me to a different time. When I arrived I had a 30 minute wait and I also didn’t actually see the doctor who I booked with. I met instead with a PA at the office who was very thorough and great, but not who I booked with.

Minimal wait. Doctor helped me find some relief very quickly. He provided several options for treatment, which I appreciated. I'm not 100% but I'm much improved. We'll see how the follow ups go.

Excellent physician. Listens and cares about the patients pain and history. Would definitely, absolutely recommend. Other physicians I’d seen just had brush me off to make money off the situation.
Dr. Hauglid even filled out some paperwork I needed because some other practices refused.
