About Dr. Christopher Kahanec
Dr. Christopher Kahanec is a New Jersey native. He received his BS in exercise physiology at William Paterson University, where he studied under some of the most well-known exercise physiologists on the East Coast. Dr. Kahanec worked as an exercise physiology intern at Hackensack University Medical Center, helping patients recover from a multitude of cardiac pathologies. He then went on to attend Life University in Atlanta, where he graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. While at Life University, Dr. Kahanec published a research abstract for the International Symposium on Clinical Neuroscience. He is also nationally certified in the Thompson Technique and is currently training for his Diplomate in Functional Neurology. Dr. Kahanec has studied multiple chiropractic techniques and mastered several musculoskeletal treatment methods. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and running. An avid runner, Dr. Kahanec has participated in several races and is passionate about helping the running community.

I booked my appointment. Got a text message confirmation when I showed up at the office. I was told that I don’t have an appointment and that I wouldn’t be able to be seen. I was told that their system does not work with Zocdoc. ?a total waste of my time to go there ?

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this chiropractor. I was asked to move my appointment to earlier in the day, was told to come in earlier to fill out paperwork (even though I filled it out online), was given a rude look when I walked up to the office and immediately was told “we don’t open until 2:30” even though I was told to come earlier.
My first visit was strictly a consultation, and I was told my appointment would be 45 minutes and when I told the front office I had to be out the door by 3. The first 30 minutes of the visit were nurses verifying the answers to my questionnaire and having me do simple movements. I then was asked to do an X-ray and “light therapy” which I had to skip since the appointment took too long.
The office smelled like weed, staff wasn’t pleasant whatsoever, and the doctor didn’t listen when I said I had to leave. He said the X-ray would take a minute, and instead took 10. I won’t be returning as I felt totally disregarded during my experience.

Dr. K has a great personality that eases patients by being a great communicator!
I still do have a hard time speaking English (I'm from Japan), but he listened and pointed out the cause of my pain.

Dr. K was great! Sat with me and really tried to figure out what was wrong. Went to see him for my back pain. He had me move around to find the actual trigger and source of the pain. We did some X- rays, massage, pads and this hydro jet thing (not sure what it was actually called). The girl who performed the deep tissue massage, didn’t catch her name, was unbelievable. I walked out feeling really fresh and a lot better. I have a follow up and through insurance I have a certain number of visits that I will definitely be taking advantage of. Thanks Dr K and team! Also, had several covid safety measures in place which I appreciate.

Dr. Chris and his entire staff were welcoming, and had a warm, friendly, professional demeanor the whole time. I had a short wait time, office was clean, and they are really taking all precautions necessary to keep the environment safe from COVID. I went into the office will lots of pain in my neck and shoulder, by the time I was done I was able to move my neck and shoulders with no pain. I will definitely be booking my appointments going forward with this doctor.

Great bedside manner. He heard my entire story before mentioning any recommendations are asking questions. Easy to talk to. Staff was very friendly as well. The only negative I can say about the whole practice is that there is no parking lot, so you have to park on the busy street if you find one. But overall I would highly recommend doctor k.

I went in with a pulled muscle in the right/rear oblique area after injury in the gym. Dr. Christopher Kahanec examined and quickly diagnosed the issue, explained his vast experience as a sports therapist, and resolved the problem in 1 visit. I spent 10 minutes on the automated massage bed, then an electric massage, followed by isolated hand massage, and finally spinal adjustment were all done on the first visit. I'm glad I came to see the orthopedic doc, since I feel taller after the visit. I highly recommend this doc.

Dr. K made me feel heard first and foremost. He took his time and really listened to all my complaints. we now have a game plan we are working on to help me rehabilitate my body and relieve it from chronic muscle tension. I will continue seeing Dr. K! the office is unassuming and no frills but the people are extra friendly and knowledgeable.
Highly recommend.
