About Dr. Christopher Oliver
Dr. Oliver established his practice in Herndon, Virginia in August of 1998. Prior to that he practiced with an administrator of Life University in Kennesaw, Georgia. Dr. Oliver speaks frequently on many health topics throughout Northern Virginia and nationally.
Dr. Oliver frequently attends trainings at area hospitals to promote better treatment of patients through complementary medicine and is the first chiropractic and acupuncturist physician invited to address Reston Hospital physicians on the benefits of chiropractic and acupuncture for cancer patients. He is also certified in hospital protocol.
Dr. Oliver is a member of the national, invitation-only, Pinnacle Chiropractic group, the Virginia Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association, the Herndon Rotary Club (past board member) and the current Vice President of the Herndon Free Clinic, a nonprofit organization of volunteer healthcare professionals and community volunteers, committed to providing access to quality health services to uninsured, low-income residents of the Northern Virginia area.
Dr. Oliver studied pre-med at Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York, and graduated from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia in March, 1997. He then studied acupuncture with the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture in 1999 and obtained his license to practice acupuncture.
In his spare time Dr. Oliver enjoys performing local volunteer work as well as outdoor activities in his native upstate New York where he owns forest land. He currently resides in Waterford with his wife, Susan, and their three young children, Drew, Cody and Haley.

The entire office, was friendly, kind, clean, and professional. Dr. Oliver was clear, concise and friendly. Dr. Oliver explained, in detail, but also simplified everything that made me feel comfortable asking difficult questions, as well as, listening to my answering them. After my consultation, I immediately went home and quickly fell asleep, out of comfort and relief I’ve been striving for a while now. I couldn't have felt better. My initial consultation and examination by Dr. Oliver has exceeded my expectations. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Dr. Oliver’s methods have significantly reduced my daily pain. I was dismissed by doctors repeatedly about my lower back pain. Dr. Oliver combines Western & Eastern treatments to put actual relief into his patients.

I have multiple chronic pain conditions and I’ve voiced concerns about my spine feeling compressed for years. This issue has been dismissed by several doctors and, honestly, I gave up trying. Dr. Oliver was a last ditch effort. I am so grateful I found him! He listened and showed me images that validated my feeling! Yes, there are packages available above the typical Chiro care and, for me, it has been the right choice. My spine feels 10x better and I’m optimistic for my continued healing. Side note, Dr. Oliver is the first Chiro that thoroughly explained everything, including that the typical “cracking” one expects with this care is not a primary focus. My body is a block of cement and past Chiros gave up on me bc they couldn’t “crack” me. I recommend Dr. Oliver to anyone, especially those who have felt unheard or dismissed by other doctors with their physical pain!!

The appointment was right on time. It was easy to explain my issue. Doctor told me to take twice a week acupuncture session for 3 months. Its close to 2 and a half months. Seeing progressing.
