About Dr. Christopher Wider
Dr. Chris Wider is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College 1999. He has been working with Dr. Walter Priestley since 2003. Dr. Wider has almost 20 years of experience in high volume, multidisciplinary, and family practices in Brooklyn and Long Island. He also has post-graduate education in health and wellness studies from the Wellness Practice Institute as well as a post graduate certificate in the diagnosis and management of cervical acceleration/deceleration trauma (whiplash). Dr. Wider is a certified Active Release Therapy (A.R.T.) provider.
The types of conditions Dr. Wider specializes in are: disc herniations, motor vehicle injuries, work injuries, neck and low back pain, headaches, and sports injuries. Dr. Wider has a great hands on technique in which he can mobilize your joints or use a non-force technique known as myofacial release, both resulting in effective pain relief, reduction of nerve interference and better overall health.
Dr. Wider is also an avid musician. He performs professionally in such places as BB Kings in Manhattan and performed at the Capitol One Theatre, formally known as Westbury Music Fair, in March 2010. He also volunteers his time performing at Farmingdale Adult Day Care, Art in the Park and other community groups.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Wider. He really listens, understands, and knows exactly what to do. I came in with chest pains that had been bothering me for a while, and thanks to his care I feel so much better. I was so happy to see a welcoming office setting, cheery and clean. I was welcomed by 2 friendly people who checked me in. I only waited a few minutes, Doctor Wider welcomed me in and listened carefully to my concerns. After a brief talk he took me to get a few Rays, very easy. He evaluated then got right to treatment. He was very thorough and worked on relieving the pain in each area, gently but effectively. I was very comfortable, and simply relieved that my issues were treated properly. We discussed a detailed plan going forward, and I'm looking forward to seeing them again this coming week. I would highly recommend Dr Wider!

Dr. Wilder has done a fantastic job on my neck and my shoulders recently. I have been to a physiatrist for a couple of months before seeing Chris and I really did not improve it for a couple of months. But after seeing Chris for a couple of visits my neck is better and my shoulders are less painful and less sore. I am so grateful for finding him.

My visit with Dr Chris was fantastic! Although he sees dozens and dozens of patients everyday, he treats. My visit as if I was he first of the day. As far as my treatment, I came to him with a sciatic problem and after a few visits I could feel that the adjustments were working. The front office staff are second to none and very accommodating in regards to scheduling. I highly recommend Priestley Chiro!
