Cindy Hoffman, D.O., FAOCD, graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYCOM) in 1985, completed a Family Practice and Dermatology Residency by 1990, and has been in practice for 30 years. Dr. Hoffman is a Board Certified Dermatologist and is in private practice in Yorktown Heights, Carmel, and Hyde Park, NY.
Dr. Hoffman is Past President of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, The New York State Osteopathic Medical Society, and The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine Alumni Association; currently she is the Dermatology Residency Director at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx and is Course Director of Dermatology Department at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Hoffman is also a member on the Board of the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology.
In the office, Dr. Hoffman specializes in diseases of the skin, hair and nails, in all age groups. These include all kinds of rashes including acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis. She does full exams to examine moles and detect skin cancers. MOHS micrographic surgery is performed in the office for those who need removal of these cancers. Dr. Hoffman also specializes in cosmetic procedures and Laser treatments. These include Botox and fillers such as Juvederm, laser hair removal, leg veins and IPL photorejuvenation. She employs an aesthetician who performs peels and microdermabrasion.
Through Dr. Hoffman's participation in education, residency training, research and medical publications, she is at the forefront in understanding your skin and your needs and concerns. Dr. Hoffman can be reached during office hours and by appointment only.

First gal sitting at first ‘window’ did not acknowledge me. I know she doesn’t do the patient check in but say Hello orGood Morning. Not a good first impression at all!
I was asked to come in 10-15 minutes ahead of scheduled appointment to complete paperwork, which I was. Still waited about 40 in waiting room and another 15in exam room.
Dr was nice, but in & out pretty quickly. Did not ask if I had any concerns
Nurse came in after simple procedure and was kind, gave me printed follow up instructions. No concerns otherwise

My experience was aweful. The doctor spent a total of 3 min tops with me and when I asked a question about my skin she said I need to make another appointment it was outrageous. So terribly disappointed. I was a new patient and was hoping to find my new dermatologist. She is definitely NOT it. All she wants is for her patients to keep paying co pays for every question . Terrible listener. I m so disgusted what a waste of my time and my money !

I moved to Yorktown Heights right before the COVID pandemic. I did not have a dermatologist yet and ask my Internist for a recommendation. I hadn’t had a skin cancer screening in a long time so I was pleased to get an appointment within 2 weeks after I went online to Dr. Cindy Hoffman’s website. My appointment was today and I am very pleased with my overall experience with Dr. Hoffman and her staff. I was given a very thorough screening and all of my skin related questions were answered. Thankfully, I just have to return annually for my exam!

I have been seeing Dr. Cindy Hoffman for several years now for various conditions both here in Hyde Park but also in Carmel and Yorktown Heights. The service was always spot on and if there was a mix up it was usually on my part not theirs. Excellent staff, knowledge of what was needed and if they didn't know they would not hide it but be upfront about it. I personally as a former health care provider respect that kind of service. So, if you are looking for a good Dermatologist I recommend the office of Dr. Cindy Hoffman.

Great experience. I’m not a fan of small talk I love when doctors are straight to the point and that’s Dr. Hoffman. She was very informative and not rush but the appointment was quick and I love that.
Also the staff in the front are so sweet. They also have someone who speaks Spanish.
I was also impressed how nice the office looks and very clean. Very boujee looking, also have a big enough parking lot and very easy entrance

Dr hoffman came in after we were seen by someone else and she didn’t even look at my son to see what was going on. then just told us since the steroid cream didn’t work the other med isn’t covered and we can try and get it approved downstairs at the pharmacy. no care at all
