Psychologist
CO
Hi, my name is Dr. Cindy Seabert. Finding the right therapist is an important step and I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself- without judgement- and feel supported in the work we do together. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Colorado State University in 1991 and completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver in 1996. For over 25 years I worked with adolescents and young adults through my role as Lead Psychologist with the State of Colorado, Division of Youth Services. More recently my work has focused on older adults, providing therapy in senior care settings. I have a deep appreciation for the unique transitions and challenges that arise later in life, including changes in health, dealing with loss, memory concerns, and navigating major life transitions. My clinical approach is integrative and client-centered, grounded in evidence-based practice. I adapt my approach thoughtfully to meet each client's unique needs and goals. I prioritize establishing a strong therapeutic alliance as the foundation of effective treatment. From there, I collaborate with clients to establish treatment goals informed by client values, clinical assessment, and measurable outcomes. I have experience with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress-related concerns, behavioral issues in adolescence, and challenges related to aging. My goal is to help clients reduce psychological distress, strengthen coping skills, and develop practical tools that support long-term well-being and personal growth. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time outdoors and you will often find me walking my dog and exploring the beautiful places Colorado has to offer. I also enjoy spending time with friends, going to the movies, and reading.
