What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is meant to feel comfortable, collaborative, and genuinely helpful. I take the time to listen and understand what’s going on before making recommendations, and we’ll create a treatment plan together that fits your goals and lifestyle. I provide thoughtful psychiatric evaluations and medication management, and I’m always open to questions and adjustments along the way. You can expect clear communication, a supportive environment, and care that is personalized to you. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself. I strive to keep visits efficient while still feeling personal and meaningful, so you leave each appointment with clarity and a plan forward. You don’t need to have everything figured out to get started. Just showing up is enough, and we’ll take it one step at a time together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is designed to feel structured, supportive, and easy to follow, especially if you’re new to psychiatric care. We start with a comprehensive initial evaluation where I take the time to understand your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and goals. This is a conversation, not an interrogation. My goal is to get a full picture of what you’re experiencing so we can make thoughtful, informed decisions together. If medication is appropriate, we’ll discuss options in detail, including benefits, potential side effects, and what to expect. I take a cautious and personalized approach to prescribing, and we’ll continue to monitor and adjust as needed to make sure your treatment is both effective and comfortable. Follow-up visits focus on tracking your progress, making any necessary adjustments, and supporting you through changes. I want you to feel confident in your treatment plan and understand each step along the way. In addition to medication management, I take a holistic approach to mental health. This may include recommendations around sleep, nutrition, exercise, stress management, and other lifestyle factors that can have a meaningful impact on how you feel day to day. When appropriate, I may also encourage therapy or other supportive services to complement your care. My goal is to treat the whole person, not just symptoms, and to help you build sustainable habits that support long-term well-being.
