About Dr. Claire Smart
Claire Smart, DNP, CNM was born in Trinidad & Tobago and educated in the United States. She has practiced Nursing since 1993 and full scope Midwifery since 1999. Smart earned her doctoral degree from UMDNJ School of Nursing in nursing practice. She served as clinical professor at Rowan and Rutgers University.
She is a registered nurse first assistant for surgery, certified in electronic fetal monitoring, advanced cardiovascular life support, neonatal resuscitation and advanced life savings in obstetrics.
Smart is sensitive to the uniqueness of each patient's situation and adapts her consultations and treatment options appropriately to accommodate the individual needs and concerns. Smart enjoys her life work, serving women throughout their lifespan, and has a passion for Menopause care.

I can not say enough good about Claire. I had an appointment today for the first time and the office staff was wonderful. I felt very comfortable. Claire was fantastic. She listened to my concerns and made a game plan to address each concern. Words alone can not express how happy I am about today’s appointment with Claire . I highly highly recommend her.

Karen Vardi APRN ended up seeing me instead since my original provider was delivering a baby. Karen couldn’t have been sweeter, so patient, and very gentle!! Getting a colyp is usually very painful but she went slow and made sure I was comfortable.
