About Colleen Burkhart
Colleen Burkhart is a nationally board-certified dermatology Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a native of Reston, Virginia. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2016 where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in biology. Following her undergraduate achievements, she gained dermatology experience working as a medical assistant in a general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology practice. Colleen went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from LIU Brooklyn’s Physician Assistant program in New York City and completed the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) Diplomate Fellowship program, an all-encompassing didactic training program in the field of dermatology. She is a member of both the America Academy of Physician Assistants/Associates (AAPA) and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA).
Colleen relocated to the DC area after graduating and joined Integrated Dermatology of Reston in 2022. She aims to provide comprehensive dermatology care and focuses on the individuality of her patients when developing a treatment plan. Her primary focus is general medical dermatology with a special interest in acne, rosacea, and eczema.
In her free time, Colleen enjoys skiing, hiking with her dog, and spending time outdoors.

I had such a great experience seeing the PA for my keloid injection! She was incredibly professional, gentle, and took the time to explain every step of the procedure so I felt completely comfortable. I’ve had keloid treatments before, but this was by far the most pleasant experience—barely any discomfort and she made sure to check in throughout. The staff was also super friendly and efficient, and I didn’t have to wait long at all. I really appreciate how attentive and caring she was. Definitely recommending this office to anyone needing dermatology care!

I have seen several doctors at the practice during the years I have been going there. All have been great! I was a patient that transitioned from the practice that Dr Colombo acquired and she has grown the practice and maintained a quality level of service that I rate the best I have experienced. But I do need to recognize Colleen Burkhart for her skill and personality that makes my visit a real pleasure. What a well run practice and friendly all around staff.

PA Burkhart was fantastic. I visited her for a regular skin-cancer screening. She helped me feel at ease by answering questions I had about various spots I have on my skin before I could even ask the questions myself. Would 100% recommend Integrated Dermatology of Reston. Booked an appointment online for April, was asked to call to add details. During the call the reason for going with them was discussed - a horrible experience that morning with a different group that only takes certain insurance on a certain day. Integrated Dermatology got me in same day, it was an amazing display of superb customer service. Plus the checkup was thorough and professional.
