He really did an additional tests and alternative way to diagnose and treat my symptoms. He went above and beyond any other doctors I saw. He is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. “I chose orthopedics because I enjoy treating injuries and restoring a patient’s function. Often in medicine, we are only able to treat symptoms of a disease rather than produce a cure. I feel orthopedics is one of the few specialties in which we are able to fix the root cause of a problem. There is no better feeling than treating a patient and helping them get back to the things they previously enjoyed.”
I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University. I completed my internship at Garden City Hospital, followed by a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Garden City Osteopathic Hospital. Additionally, I pursued a fellowship at Detroit Medical Center to further refine my skills in orthopedic care.

The staff was friendly and efficient. They explained everything they were doing and everyone had a smile on their face during the interactions. Dr O’Keefe was so down to earth, like talking to friend. Dr O'Keefe is wonderful! I've only seen him a few times but from the first time I had an appointment with him, I knew he was a rare gem. He listens to your concerns, answers your questions honestly, and it doesn't feel like he's a doctor lecturing you about everything that he knows best about. I leave my appointments feeling informed, empowered, and like I know my next steps.
For the longest time I've dreaded medical appointments, and that still rings true for most other appointments, but seeing Dr O'Keefe is ALWAYS a joy.

My only complaint was the wait time… it took 50 minutes before I was seen and this was after the moved my appointment up an hour. However, the doctor and staff more than made up for the wait with their efficiency in diagnosing, treating and addressing my concerns. Highly recommend!
