I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of experience in the nursing profession. I obtained my Registered Nursing degree from Midland College in 2008, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner post-graduate certification from Walden University in 2023.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My career began in the emergency room, where I developed a strong foundation in acute care before transitioning to mental health nursing, a field to which I have been dedicated for the past 15 years. Psychiatric nursing is my true passion, and I am deeply committed to supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with adolescents and veterans managing PTSD.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I prioritize building strong rapport and trust with my patients, recognizing that mental health treatment is a process that requires time and commitment. I work closely with each patient, taking the time to listen to their unique needs and collaborating with them to develop a personalized care plan. Whether through medication management, psychotherapy, or a combination of both, my approach is patient-centered to address and support their specific mental health goals.

First and foremost I would like say that although I was hesitant to take the first step. I couldn’t be more grateful I did. My daughter started to see her and had some wonderful things to say about her first interaction so I myself decided it was time. In meeting Crystal for the first time she was completely in tune with hearing me out and everything I was looking to accomplish in taking care of my mental health. Their therapist Maria is also super sweet which we had the pleasure of meeting with as well. Crystal was immediately someone I knew I could be open with and she clearly listened to what I had to say. She was very easy to talk to and made me feel at ease. One of the only providers I’ve ever had that didn’t make me feel like I was a burden or that I asked stupid questions.
