About Dr. Dalton Carter
Dr. Dalton Carter earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where he also completed his residency.
Dr. Carter is a board-certified family medicine specialist who also holds certificates in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS). He has been in practice since 2020 and treats patients of all ages.
While Dr. Carter treats the full range of primary care conditions, his major clinical interest is preventative care. Often ill patients, he observes, tend to struggle when they’re confronted with lots of medications and information, but when conditions can be dealt with before they become problems, it is easier for patients in the long term.
His philosophy of patient care is based on empathy—listening to his patients, making sure they enjoy their visits and using a team-based approach to working with them. The most satisfying part of practicing medicine for him is being involved in the healing process and seeing improvement from initial visit, to diagnosis, to conditions either being resolved or stabilized.
Dr. Carter is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Texas Academy of Family Physicians and Texas Medical Association.

I am so thrilled to have found Dr. Carter!! The man goes above and beyond cause he did something no other doctor has did over the years which is finally took time to help me with my ear problem and that alone is what made him stand out over the rest. Cause I stuck something in my ear when I was younger and every time I seen a doctor, they have always said they didn’t see anything. But Doctor Carter said the same but didn’t let it go without taking a closer look and found out I was really in need of help that what I stuck in my ear years ago was actually still there. And immediately tried to see if he could get it out. He didn’t get it out but just to know he found the problem and tried to fix it was good enough for me. And ordered me an ETI so thank you so much Dr. Carter and you truly deserve to be in your field.
