About Dr. Dana Kornfeld

Dr. Kornfeld graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Amherst College and received her M. D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her pediatric residency at The Children’s National Medical Center and was selected to be Chief Resident in Pediatrics. Dr. Kornfeld continued her training at Children’s with a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine, followed by a year on the faculty serving as an inpatient physician. She joined our practice in 1996. Dr. Kornfeld has a special interest in helping adolescents and their families thrive as they navigate the emotional and physical transitions of this time of life. She is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at The George Washington School of Medicine where she continues to teach pediatric medical students and residents. She is the past president (2009-2011) of the Montgomery-Prince George’s Pediatric Society. Dr. Kornfeld is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both Pediatrics and the specialty of Adolescent Medicine.
