About Dr. Dana McQueen

Dr. McQueen is a reproductive endocrinologist and board-certified OB-GYN. She joins RMA after a fellowship at Northwestern and practicing at the University of Chicago because of RMA's global reputation as a leader.
"RMA has a rich tradition of really innovating in the fertility space and driving the field forward," says Dr. McQueen. From an academic background, Dr. McQueen is looking forward to continuing her research while partnering with patients. "This career allows me to do two things that I love. First, I am able to really get to know my patients and form a connection as we go through treatment. And then, analytically, I use the latest science and research to develop a plan that gives them the best outcome possible," says Dr. McQueen.
"We're helping individuals and couples take on a huge challenge and overcome it," says Dr. McQueen on the spark that keeps her excited about the field. Dr. McQueen realizes that infertility can be an overwhelming diagnosis. "I want my patients to feel comfortable asking any questions they have because the things that can feel routine from a medical perspective, like giving your first injection, can come with a lot of anxiety."
Having grown up in Santa Cruz and frequenting her parent's camping store, Dr. McQueen enjoys sharing her love for the outdoors with her family. "We're lodge people, though," Dr. McQueen laughs, adding that the family bucket list includes exploring National Parks. The family recently visited Yellowstone, and Dr. McQueen is collecting inspiration for a future trip to Jenny Lake Lodge in Grand Teton National Park.
Her research and work in recurrent pregnancy loss include running a research program devoted to risk factors for recurrent pregnancy loss and improving outcomes.
