I began my nursing studies at Montgomery College in Takoma Park, Maryland, where I earned my associate's degree. After obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Chicago, I worked as an emergency and intensive care nurse before pursuing an MBA with a concentration in healthcare management and policy at the University of Arizona.
Driven by the need for mental health providers in my community and the desire to break stereotypes surrounding mental health, I furthered my education with a Master's in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing at Walden University. My commitment to education and service led me to complete my Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at the same university, where I honed my skills to drive positive change in mental health outcomes.
