About Dr. Daniela Atencio

Daniela Atencio, MD is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with fellowship training in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Atencio was born in Venezuela and obtained her medical degree at Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. She then completed General Surgery Residency training at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, a distinguished Level 1 Trauma and Burn center. Her passion for delicate and complex surgery inspired her to pursue a career in Plastic Surgery. She completed her training at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She learned from nationally renowned plastic surgeons and obtained extensive training in the entire spectrum of reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery. During her training, she also pursued scientific research focused on facial aesthetics with publications and presentations at national meetings. Dr. Atencio’s surgical interest is focused on face and breast aesthetics, as well as body-contouring surgery. She has extensive training and experience in both surgical and non-surgical modalities. In addition to sharing her expertise with patients, she also has a passion for teaching and training the next generation of plastic surgeons. Dr. Atencio speaks Spanish fluently and is happy to offer her services in English or Spanish. Throughout her life, Dr. Atencio was fortunate to travel and live in several countries. Those experiences allow her to appreciate different cultural backgrounds and communicate with her patients with kindness, empathy and clarity. With a passion for wellness, fitness, and a balanced, healthy lifestyle, she enjoys doing yoga and Pilates to strengthen the body and mind. She believes in the power of self-love and confidence and hopes to make the transformation journey a fun and exciting process for her patients to achieve results well beyond the surface. Dr. Atencio is very excited to grow her practice and call Austin home. She sees patients at our Downtown Austin location.

I didn’t feel like I was being sold something. The doctor was honest and told me the procedure I wanted wasn’t right for me instead of just going ahead with it. Most places will just take your money. The staff was friendly and the place was very clean.

Doctor Atencio is amazing! First, she fixed my boobs which had gone done wrong from a previous surgery done elsewhere. They look incredible now. Currently, she’s so good with my face! Keeping it natural looking, but also keeping it young looking. I will never go anywhere else!
