I’m a Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, who takes time to really listen. My approach is thoughtful, evidence-based, and deeply personalized. We’ll work together to find the options that support YOUR mind and YOUR body—without the pressure, the judgment, or the medical jargon. You don’t have to figure this out alone.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I take an open-minded, solution-focused approach to mental health care. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to find practical, personalized strategies that support your well-being, growth, and meaningful change.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
First complete consent in Zocdoc paperwork. Then you will receive new patient paperwork in email. Once new patient paperwork is completed, staff will contact you.

Dr. Simmons does an amazing job at what she does. In the past I’ve had providers look at my chart and just statistically diagnose and prescribe medications but she listens, observes and explains the breakdown of all her medical decisions based off treatment. She’s very helpful and easily able to reach in case emergencies or any changes needed. She also offers a mini therapy session as well as the medicine part of treatment which is where I feel she is always spot on and very aware of what medications are sent in for me. I hope I never have to switch providers because she has and always is the best of best treatment I’ve received in the past.

She is wonderul! She listens to my needs and concerns and addresses each one. She remembers issues that we discussed on previous visits. She follows up whenever we make any changes with my medications and she is available anytime. She has helped me improve my quality of life, I feel “normal” again and for that I will be forever grateful!

I have not ever seen a professional who has made me feel like I wasn't crazy or as if something was " wrong" with me until Danyelle Simmons came into my life a couple of years ago. She is caring, kind, and considerate.

My family started seeing Danyelle when one of my children began having a difficult time processing emotions after starting a new school and losing several family members that we were extremely close to. I always told my kids if they couldn't talk to me, I'd find someone they Could talk to, so I asked for recommendations and Danyelle's name kept popping up.
I set up a appointment with her and my child, and it became a domino effect in the best way. My oldest decided they needed to talk to someone as well, so I called Danyelle. My youngest started seeing her. She fits us in, lets my kids message her when They feel they need her, and treats them like they are as important to her as they are to me.
I trust her, and I don't trust easily.
Seeing my kids get better, I knew I needed tools, too. I'd been told by drs. that I had one thing- Danyelle realized that it was A symptom, not The diagnosis. She listened to me- heard me.
Her guidance and patience changed our family and we're grateful.
