About Dr. Darshan Patel
My goal is to utilize a patient-centered approach in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic injuries of the hand, wrist, and elbow. After thorough education and discussion, we execute a treatment strategy aimed at allowing the patient to return to their daily activities at the highest possible level. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, completed my residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center, and pursued a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the University of California, San Diego.

Everyone was very pleasant and the dr explained to me my options very well along with any potential side effects. I don't understand why his note implies that nothing was wrong with my hand. It didn't mention the cyst or my pain. If someone was to read the note it would imply that everything was ok. The visit didn't match what was documented. It feels dishonest and I wonder why.

Dr. Patel explained everything and was easy to understand. His 'chair-side' manner was sympathetic during my visit. He explained all my options and helped me to manage my pain. It was one of the nicest first-time medical appointments I've ever had.
