OMG what an absolute pleasure! I went to see Dr. Alevi for evaluation of a pink eye (after I just had a serious case of it a few weeks prior). He took his time listening to my history, was meticulous in his exam, then explained in detail why he didn't think I had pink eye and that I might have just had an allergic reaction, and told me how to care for my eyes. He was absolutely right because my eyes went back to normal the next day after some rest and mild anti-histamine eye drops. Dr. Alevi is the most caring and competent eye doctor I've ever had. Even though I live in Queens, I will not hesitate to travel all the way up to the Bronx just to see him, because I know he will provide the best care possible. If you need an eye doctor, go see Dr. Alevi!

He earned his medical degree from New York University and culminated his residency in ophthalmology at Nassau University Medical Center and became chief resident during his final year. He further completed his fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at the Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island.

He enjoys jogging, watching sports, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Alevi is a nice person, but as an eye doctor he could not diagnose me with deeper neuro-ophthalmologist problems that I had that I didn't know that I had until I went to 2 other ophthalmologists after him. He also did not give any prescriptions and I felt like I wasted my bills coming here because I did not get any treatment in return.

I loved how reassuring and gentle he was. He spoke knowledgeably about my eye situation and then performed a procedure that sounded scary, but I didn't even blink because he'd assured me that he was experienced doing this.
He thoroughly checked his work, and scheduled a follow-up to make certain, and I believe my eyes got the best care.
