About Jin Zheng
David Jin Zheng is a board-certified Physician Assistant at The Dermatology Specialists. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Physician Associate Studies from the City University of New York and graduated top of his class from the PA program at The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education. Soon after graduation in 2012, David joined Dermatology and has been treating patients of all ages since then. He regularly attends dermatology conferences hosted by the American Academy of Dermatology, NYU, Mount Sinai, and others.
When he's not delivering exceptional service to his patients, David enjoys reading, meditating, and exercising. He also loves traveling and learning new things about other cultures and histories.

I was the only person there, got there 15 minutes early, and still wasnt seen till 20+ minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I was a new patient and they hadn't checked my insurance until I got there even though they had access to it for over a week. Was there for just a screening and was in the examine room less than half the time I was in the waiting room and exchanged less than 10 words with the doctor, like she was rushing to get out of there, even though there was nobody else there. I didn't have any concerns but I have some marks and stuff that are always asked about by pcp or derms and she didn't say a word about anything.
Felt like a huge waste of an overpriced copay. Only giving 2 stars cause it was very clean and I liked the decor.
Will not be returning.

Appointment was rushed and awkward. Fight in the waiting room. It’s been weeks since my appt and I’ve not received my Rx, I’ve called several times, the doctor and office have not fulfilled the insurance form to complete the prescription, and have never followed up with me. Sometimes when I call, the front desk person is fine, sometimes it’s a rude hostile experience. Not worth it!

This doctor and the Dermatologist Specialist keeps charging my credit card more than what I need to pay, despite of having in network insurance.
They don’t follow up, they are extremely difficult to contact for follow up of anything.
Not recommended at all, the worst!

Well i looked up a doctor online that would remove cyst and this doctor was recommended. I was told by him that he doesn’t do it and they have a team for that. He told me that someone will call me in couple of days with the new appointment and location of cyst removal. Its been 6 days and no response. At first i thought it was going to happen right away but no.

I was not asked to fill out any form since I did it via Zocdoc which is nice. The doctor was very helpful and patient, he gave more advice about any questions I have to my skin conditions. The staff is friendly as well. Highly recommend and will go back for my future skin check.

I have never had a worse experience at a healthcare provider. I came in to see Jin Zheng, PA get a prescription refill on acne medication. The appointment itself lasted somewhere in between 5-10 minutes because I've gone to other dermatologists in the past and know exactly what I need.
I come home to an outrageous bill. I inspect it, and it says it has been coded as a 45-59 minute visit. I call their number (which is a call center, and so it is hard to reach your specific office), and the front desk tells me that I need to speak with billing. I call billing, and billing sends me back to front desk. I spent nearly half of a day going back and forth, with no one seemingly being able to or wanting to fix my billing error.
At this point, I've spent hours and hours trying to get my bill fixed, with no resolve. This has been a horrible and fraudulent experience. Not only are the prices of services completely unreasonable, the ineffective customer service has this experience a nightmare.

Had the most thorough derm appointment with this doctor-most derm doctors just screen you and rush you out. But he scanned my skin, and recommended taking biopsies for a few moles, then addressed my acne concerns. He was very attentive!
