Dr Mazza was very thorough. I've had seasonal allergy issues for years but haven't visited an actual allergist since I was a kid. He zoned in on my problem areas and offered a clear course for improvement. Definitely recommend.

Dr. David Mazza is an allergist serving pediatric patients in the New York area. He values giving each patient attentive, comforting attention, and thorough care. Dr. Mazza is well-recognized as an excellent doctor in the New York area, having been named one of the "Best Doctors in New York" in New York magazine every year from 1998-2013.
After beginning his career in medicine at the University of Vermont Dr. Mazza came to New York for his internship and residency – both in pediatrics at NYU Bellevue Hospital Medical Center. In 1982 he also completed a two-year fellowship in Pediatric Ambulatory Care, Emergency Medicine at Bellevue, where he researched and gained insight into the effects of ulcers in the pediatric age group.
Dr. Mazza has served as Director of Pediatric Ambulatory Care at Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, as well as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He belongs to a number of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Allergy & Clinical Immunology, and he is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Mazza is an attending physician at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center.

The main issue I have is that their office told me they accepted my insurance and then it turns out they didn't accept my insurance and charged me an obscene amount for two visits. I brought my own serum and shot record and all I needed was to get my shots, I really felt quite ripped off.
They also want you to call ahead before coming in for shots and Dr. Mazza seemed to be frequently out of the office. Wait times are long.

He was excellent! After visiting another allergist and not happy with the prognosis, I did some research and found some great reviews of Dr. Mazza online and one of NY's best. He was extremely thorough and really explained everything about allergies. I would highly recommend a visit to him!

I was really impressed. His secretary was out that day and things were running behind, but even then, he was thorough, he was patient, and he spent time to talk to me and explain the science/ medicine to me.

I got allergy tests from Dr. Mazza. The tests are pretty routine, as well as the explanations and treatment plans. The thing that stands out though, is the trouble I got into when I tried to continue getting my shots at a doctor who is much closer to me. I was treated as if I've committed a high treason and got into all kinds of road blocks. The nightmare-ish experience is not something a ethical doctor would give to his patients.

I was surprised to find this to be one of my best doctor experiences ever. Dr. Mazza was kind, sharp, knowledgeable and patient! Several people in his waiting room were speaking his praises and I can see why. I am so happy to have already left his office with answers. I was impressed by how quickly I was seen by Dr. Mazza. I only waited about 10 or 15 minutes. We got down to business right away. Dr. Mazza is very professional, knowledgeable and, most importantly, he is a good listener. He understood from a few hints I dropped that I tend towards more holistic modalities and am generally anti-medication. He respected this and explained the pros and cons of recommended medications in a very detailed and easy to understand manner. Additionally, Dr. Mazza had a very jovial attitude that made the whole visit very enjoyable. His front desk assistant, Helen, was kind and sweet. This having been my first ZocDoc experience, I'd give it a thumbs up!

My appointment was at 11am, and didn't leave the building until 1:30pm. Although it took 55 minutes to see Dr. Mazza, I felt it was worth the wait. He had more compassion then my previous allergists. He took the time to explain how allergies worked, and formed a personalized game plan with me to combat my special needs. His genuine deadpan humor was also a breath of fresh air.

He was timely, personable, and thorough. Although there were other folks in the waiting room and the 2nd examination room, I felt paid attention to ,heard and never rushed.. He took time to answer all my questions but the best thing is that after going to two other doctors he was able to get me to stop coughing!!! I have had this cough for over FOUR months and neither of the other doctors were able to figure it out. Dr. Mazza had the interest and made the time. I cannot recommend him highly enough. After my appointment today I walked home while talking with a friend and i wasn't coughing! to paraphrase a p[popular TV commercial "How do you spell relief?"....Dr. Mazza!
