More about Dr. David Yamamoto, MD
Dr. David Yamamoto grew up on a family farm in the Seattle area. He received his medical degree from the University of Washington in 1977 and completed a residency and teaching fellowship in family practice at the University of Buffalo. He moved to Colorado in 1981 where he took a position as an emergency room physician in Aspen. He has been working in family practice and occupational medicine in the Denver area since 1985. He opened Peak to Peak Family Medicine in 2002. He is board-certified in family practice and has special interests in: occupational medicine, sports medicine, anxiety disorders, major depressive disorder and pain conditions, including back and spine pain.
He is an avid tennis player and skier and has been racing with Rocky Mountain Masters since 1986. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Jean, and son, Daron.
“I truly enjoy being in private practice as a primary care physician. I have a great staff and it is a joy to come to work. Of course, we have many challenges, but we take them on as a team and continue to improve and evolve. The best part of the practice is our relationship with our patients.”
