What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a provider who listens without judgment and sees you as a whole person—not just a diagnosis. I believe in building a collaborative relationship where your goals, values, and experiences help guide treatment decisions. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized, and I strive to create a safe space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Whether you're struggling with mental health concerns, substance use, or both, I will meet you where you are and work alongside you toward meaningful and lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to take the time to truly understand your story before making treatment recommendations. Our first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric and/or substance use evaluation that typically lasts 60–75 minutes. During this visit, we will review your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, substance use history (if applicable), previous treatments, and your goals for care. (To make the most of our time together and avoid having to reschedule our initial appointment, I request that the intake forms are completed by 5pm the day prior). Together, we will develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, referrals, therapy recommendations, harm reduction strategies, or other evidence-based interventions based on your unique needs. Follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes in length and focus on monitoring progress, reviewing symptoms, discussing any medication concerns or side effects, and making adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. I view treatment as a collaborative process and encourage open communication so that we can work together toward your goals and long-term wellness.
