About Dr. Deborah Presken
Deborah S. Presken, M.D., is more than a physician; she's a compassionate advocate for humane, intelligent, and humorous healthcare. Her journey began at Wellesley College, where she co-founded a suicide prevention hotline and passionately fought against apartheid and anti-Semitism.
Dr. Presken earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati. She completed her residency in Family Practice at West Suburban Family Practice, further honing her skills to provide comprehensive care.
While initially harboring dreams of single-handedly solving the Middle East Crisis, a life-altering event reshaped her path. Dr. Presken's closest friend was diagnosed with lymphoma and, tragically, lost the battle to the disease. This heartbreaking experience ignited her commitment to becoming a physician dedicated to treating patients, their families, and friends with the utmost dignity and respect. It was a turning point that instilled in her a profound passion for acquiring the knowledge necessary to prevent and minimize the impact of diseases, even if the Middle East Crisis remained unsolved.
