Very short wait to start checking my eyes. The clinician was professional, yet friendly, and efficient. Very short wait to see Dr. Barnes. Dr. Barnes is very thorough, professional, and personable. She takes her time to explain everything. Dr. Barnes is simply the best. I highly recommend Vision Source and Dr. Barnes.

Dr. Barnes is originally from North Carolina and graduated from Southern College of Optometry. She was an active duty Air Force Optometrist from 1978 to 1985. Dr. Barnes founded Schertz Vision Source, a member of the Schertz Chamber of Commerce and Randolph Area Chamber of Commerce, in 2000. Dr. Barnes is a member of the Bexar County Optometric Society, Texas Optometry Association, and The American Optometric Association. She is married and has two children, a son who graduated from Texas A&M University and a daughter who is currently attending the University of Texas in Austin.
