Growing up, I saw the struggles of my parents who tried their best to give us the most they could within their means. When my father passed away, I realized that sometimes we are tested, not to show our weaknesses but to discover our strengths. My mother's selflessness and perseverance have always had a great influence on steering my goals. The field of Medicine, to me, is the means of passing on this selflessness, love, and caring into the community. It gives me a sense of fulfillment and solace. I earned my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Narayana Medical College. I completed my Residency in Internal Medicine at Abington Memorial Hospital and pursued a Fellowship in Nephrology at Washington University, St. Louis, Barnes-Jewish Hospital. These experiences have shaped my approach to patient care and deepened my commitment to the field. DRG is the place where it all comes together for me. The primary focus here is patient care, which allows me to forward our mission of empowering patients with a better ability to participate in their own care. At the same time, my patients are my strongest teachers! My philosophy of care is to always be honest and provide effective, equitable, compassionate care that I would want for myself or my loved ones. Not to forget, communication is the key!
