Hello, my name is Denise Dews, and I am a new PMHNP-BC. I earned my Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Walden University. I’m here to help you with your mental health concerns and provide you with the best possible care. I can provide medication treatment as well as psychotherapy. I have a vast array of experience in mental health, having been a psychiatric nurse since 2011. My focus is on treating children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan. My passion is working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder/dual diagnosis, depression, bipolar disorders, and psychotic and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD. I am committed to always providing client education, evidence-based techniques, and evidence-based treatment. My goal as a PMHNP-BC is to provide empathetic, engaged, and client-centered services. I am passionate about being an advocate for people who struggle to be heard and respected, especially in disadvantaged communities where barriers such as financial constraints or biases may hinder effective treatment. I see myself as a relentless problem-solver who doesn’t shy away from a new challenge. I would love to see patients from ages 5 to 60+, regardless of their race, gender identity, sexual orientation, culture, or religion. I am offering telehealth services.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
