Dr. Liang knew from an early age watching his grandfather provide obstetrical care for women that the pregnancy, birth, and women’s health care field was in his blood. He also knew intuitively that there are many paths to wellness and respected them without passing judgment.
After excelling as an undergraduate in SUNY Binghamton, Dr. Liang graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. There, he had been rigorously trained in both Western medicine and osteopathy. Dr. Liang then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center which was, at the time, affiliated with Columbia Presbyterian Health Center.
Distinguishing himself as a superior educator, following residency Dr. Liang was immediately welcomed into the medical staff at Wyckoff Heights as an attending and the Director of Clerkship for the OB/GYN department, in charge of training all the medical students. Since then, he has expanded this educator role and commanded the position of Clinical Instructor of OB/GYN at such medical schools as New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, The SABA School of Medicine, and American University of Antigua Medical School.
Dr. Liang practices full-scope obstetrics and gynecology from the age-old perspective of encouraging mutual care planning with the women with whom he works. After educating them about the various options they have, Dr. Liang closely advises his patients and their families to help them make solid final decisions about the path their care will take.
Dr. Liang is a firm believer in osteopathic principles and the wellness-oriented approach to health. He is also expertly trained in the provision of superior OB/GYN care including high risk pregnancy management and cutting-edge gynecological surgical techniques. Not unlike a master martial artist, he knows how to use these skills but does not rush to do so, instead nurturing his patients towards wellness as much as possible. Dr. Liang practices always with the eyes of his grandfather upon him.

I would never come back. First front desk ladies are unprofessional, they seem to be tired. They look a you like they are making a favor to you. Second, doctor does not take time with patient and I was given incorrect results.
Don't spend your time with people who do not care about you.

The Dr. was fine-nothing particularly warm about him and really tempered the excitement of finding out that I was expecting with a "don't get too attached so early" vibe. I went once and kept the search for a provider moving. What's been worse, however, is trying to get my medical records. I've visited in person, I've faxed, I've called multiple times and no one has responded to my request. It's been three months since that appointment.

Dr. Liang also asks a lot of questions which made me feel like I wasn't just another patient and insists on whether you may have any questions for him or any other concern. Dr. Liang was great, but the office definitely needs to streamline procedure. I checked in with Zoc Doc and filled out all the medical info, and then the receptionist said she couldn't print it so I had to fill it out again. Then when I met the doctor he just asked me all the same questions again for his own form. Also, I have to call in two weeks to get my test results. I've always had offices call me in the past and I prefer that.

He spent a total of 10 minutes with me, and that includes the physical exam as well as the chat we had before about my history. He seemed rushed and disinterested and detached. Maybe it's me being used to better doctors, and I find anything less than excellent personalized bedside manner to be unsatisfactory.
Then he never called me to let me know the results of my Pap smear. It would have been nice if he followed up. Not my job to hunt him down for my results.

It was my first visit. He was very informative. The only thing I didn't like was the long wait. I had an appointment scheduled for 2:15 and I was not seen until 1 1/2 later at almost 4:00pm. I'm suppose to see him again next month so we will see how the visit goes then.
