About Dr. Shanaye Jeffers
Dr. Shanaye Jeffers is a board-certified OB/GYN. She couldn't imagine a life outside of being an OB/GYN, especially at home in NYC.
In the clinical realm, Dr. Jeffers values partnership with her patients. She believes in the importance of mutual transparency and openness to co-create the most effective care plans.
Dr. Jeffers is Brooklyn born and bred, with Caribbean roots. She made her second home Philadelphia where she received her medical degree at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She then went on to complete residency at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she was accepted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society — an award recognizing compassionate care that supports human connection in healthcare.
During her residency, Dr. Jeffers had the formative opportunity to train alongside midwives, an experience that instilled in her a deep appreciation for collaborative, human-centric care, and led her to a more integrative practice.

Dr Jeffers and the office staff at Oula were very welcoming and kind, which helped me to be less nervous. Dr Jeffers has a warm personality and is great at communicating and making sure a patient knows what to expect and is comfortable.
