About Dr. Diane Bloomfield

*THIS PROVIDER ONLY SEES PEDIATRIC PATIENTS.* Dr. Bloomfield provides primary care as an attending in Montefiore's Family Care Center. She precepts residents and is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the general academic pediatric curriculum at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Bloomfield is the co-author of two chapters in the American Academy of Pediatrics textbook Primary Pediatric Care. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Cornell University and completed both her residency and fellowship in Pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Bloomfield's involvement in the assessment and treatment of children with social and emotional health conditions began in 2007, when she became the team leader at Montefiore for the Reaching Children Initiative Learning Collaboration with the National Institute of Child Health Quality (NICH-Q). She was a co-presenter of her division's activities at NICH-Q's national meeting in 2008. Since then, she has collaborated on a citywide initiative to encourage parents to report on their child's development via an Internet-based system. Her research involves assessing parents' satisfaction with this modality. Dr. Bloomfield was recently selected to become a trainer/educator in the New York State Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for Primary Care (CAP-PC) program. This program's goal is to educate pediatricians and increase their ability to treat children with mental health disorders.
