Eboni Davis-Townsend, NP

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
MI
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 13 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient nursing settings. My identity shapes my healing lens—I deeply value cultural humility, generational trauma, and the intersection of mental health with race, identity, and systemic oppression. My journey into psychiatric care began when I witnessed the stigma and barriers people in my community faced in accessing mental health support. I was drawn to nursing for its holistic approach and to psychiatric nurse practice so I could integrate psychotherapy, medication management, and wellness I commonly work with people facing: Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder PTSD, complex trauma Issues related to identity (race, gender, intersectionality) Life transitions, grief, loss Coping with systemic racism & microaggressions Sometimes ADHD, sleep disturbances, etc. Holistic, Collaborative Care: I believe that the best treatment plans are made with my clients, not for them. We’ll explore all aspects—mental, physical, social, spiritual—because everything is connected.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session, we'll go over your history, concerns, what has helped in the past, and where you want to go. I'll aim to set up a treatment plan that feels actionable—but also flexible, because life changes. We'll track progress together, adjusting as needed. My communication style is warm, direct, respectful. If something doesn't feel right, you tell me—and we figure it out together.
