Eliza Bernas, MD, is a seasoned family medicine physician who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her patients at The Center for Integrative and Functional Health and Wellness in Bloomingdale, Illinois. Dr. Bernas thoroughly diagnoses and treats her patients using the best approaches from traditional Western medicine, functional medicine, and complementary Eastern philosophies and treatments. Dr. Bernas graduated in 1985 from the over-400-year-old Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas at the Catholic University of the Philippines. After graduation, she interned at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Manila and then at the University of Illinois at Rockford, where she also completed a family medicine residency. Both patients and the rest of the center’s treatment team describe Dr. Bernas as “warm, engaging, attentive, and thorough.” Dr. Bernas works closely with her patients to educate them about all the available treatments to create a roadmap to excellent health.
